Gotta say, this is a box worthy of the name! Not only does it keep the items inside secure, but it also doesn't let anything in! The boxyness of this box? 100% Grade A! If you are a box lover, then this the box for you! I will say that I was little thrown off at first by the high price tag, (most of my boxes I got for free at the super market before) but after trying it out, no more free cabbage scented boxes for me! It's only gonna be this kind of box, for everything! Shoes, yep! Hats, yep yep! My hopes dreams, you know it! All of it is going in the box!

I got this case to hold DSLR photo gear when I am traveling and in areas where I don't want to worry that my camera gear will get covered in dust, water, mud, anything. This case has not let me down yet!I had one small issue with the first case I got, it had a small warp/bend by the handle. When spraying a garden hose at it with my thumb over creating pressure made a few drops of water enter the case(nothing that would ruin gear). I called amazon they sent me a new one that does NOT have this issue.This case can hold more than you think! I have 2 DSLR cameras, 3 lenses, batteries, chargers, microphones, sd cards, remotes, filters, etc.This case has traveled with me all over and I have never worried about gear getting broken. This is a quality case at an even better price.Also this case will still float with over 25 lbs of weight in it!

Put four bolts through this thing and mounted it to my dirt bike to carry my 5d Mark ii and two lenses over a five month adventure attached to the back of my van 15,000 miles in 5 months (on the van). Took that camera to some crazy places and logged over 3500 miles with the case on the back of the dirt bike and barely touched road the entire time. This thing took spills off of 10 foot ledges, got laid down at 35 mph and was dumped on rocks multiple times. Never leaked and protected my 3 grand in camera gear without fail!

I took some relatively expensive camera gear on a 8-day canoeing adventure in Utah. The entire time, we were subjected to water, wind, heat and lots of dust/dirt. The case performed well, and I really appreciated having the lock holes where I could secure it in the event of a swamped canoe. It also was easy to setup the ready-cut foam core to fit each body and lens.As a note, we also had a satellite phone housed in a Pelican case,and from comparing the two, I could not discern any real advantages to paying a premium for the Pelican brand. From my limited use, the Seahorse is just as durable and weather-proof.

Very high quality case! Heavy duty! The other reviewers who said this are not kidding. It also has an air pressure release hole under one of the latches, that seals with an o-ring.The foam has pre-scored lines approximately 1/4" by 1/4", so you can cut columns of foam away easily using an exacto knife. You have to "excavate" the depth of the cutout for the equipment you wish to store in this box. There are no pre-scored lines at different depths into the foam. What I used was a straight edge razor blade, like for a paint scraper, held perpendicularly in the jaws of needle nose pliers. That gave a nice smooth "floor" to the cut out.I am extremely pleased with this purchase.

This case is a great economical alternative to a pelican case. It has the pre-scored cube foam insert that can be easily made for a custom fit. It has an o-ring seal for water proofing. I tested mine in the bathtub and it worked just fine.Note: the first case i received the front portion between the clasps had a noticable gap between the two halves and did not seal well, and would leak water slightly. I contacted amazon and they sent me another item that also a slight gap between the lid and the case body, but the o-ring on this one sealed perfectly.Overall: this is a pelican case for a fraction of the price. :)

I bought this for secure backup hard drive storage. It's perfect for storing my backup hard drive. I don't worry about the drive being damaged and losing my data.The size is perfect.

These things are great. The latches and hinges are very high-quality and durable. These cases are strong and rugged enough for all but the most demanding of applications. The foam comes out in 1/4 inch increments. After I have everything fitted, I use some Liquid Nails adhesive on the bottom of the foam insert. If you want to repurpose the case later, new foam insert sets are available and fairly inexpensive. These cases are good quality and good value.
