I have tried a lot of different things to clean the floor prior to waxing and nothing works as well or is as easy to use. You can use this as a light cleaner between waxes or to entirely remove the wax. I typically apply wax every time so I use it mainly full strength.Keep in mind this is a water based product, which means it is very effective on picking up dirt, food stains, etc., it is not made to pick up oil based stains like tar, grease, etc. There is really nothing I have found that does both very well without a strong odor or possible discoloration. This product is safe to use and does not stink up the house. I usually keep some odorless mineral spirits nearby to address any stains this will not get up.In my opinion, it's not made for all types of wood flooring but specifically designed for pre-finish flooring. If you have floors that are sealed with polyurethane, this might not be the best product for that application.If you're using this to strip your floor you should be using the Lundmark Pro-Tech sealer as well, which I also highly recommend.It's not an inexpensive product to use, especially the wax, but it works well and it's hard to find anywhere else.
