Great Product! - Very Responsive!
In general the product it is fast and responsive. I had none of the issues described upon the first power up and trial - I updated all of the drivers and BIOS... BTW: mine does have the vPro version of the Intel Core i5 - with version A10, the latest is A13. I also purchased the Dell Tablet Keyboard - Slim (2K3H1), and a 64GB microSD card for my tablet. Though it is not explicitly clear that this machine DOES have an micro SD expansion memory slot - I had to learn this by downloading the user guide from Dell and this was the clincher for me over the Surface Pro 2. - I am extremely happy with the performance. One thing to note about the BIOS upgrade: Dell has 3 versions for this machine - 2 for the 7130 configuration standard and vPro and 1 for the 7139 configuration. There is no way to tell if it is vPro or not, but Dell did a good job with their installation utility to tell you if the BIOS upgrade version you selected is the right one - I recommend starting with the non vPro version. I learned through the BIOS information that mine was initially manufactured in April/2014 -so these are past the recall date if anyone was concerned about this. After all of the driver and OS updates - this machine is a screamer in performance - no freezes like the other write-ups describe. The slim keyboard works flawlessly and is extremely stable in connectivity to the tablet. If anyone is considering the Surface Pro 2 - you may want to reconsider the Dell Venue 11 Pro instead... Edit... I ended up also purchasing the Dell Mobile tablet keyboard, as the extra battery will be nice for how I will be using it. Product Warranty: The Product will have a remainder of the original owners warranty from when they purchased the unit(s). - NOT THE FULL 1 YEAR WARRANTY FOR A NEW UNIT.... this was learned when going through a lengthy registration and warranty transfer process with Dell. Mine ended up being only 6 months for a Dell factory warranty.

Dell Venue Pro 11 inch tablet Win PC
its an alright tablet, but its not as sturdy as i would have liked it to be. its heavy and doesn't have the screen flexibility. The better choice would have been a full desktop.

Dell - Humm surprised
I had a Venue 8 before that was fully loaded - it was outstanding. This is a good little product, running windows is a pain in the aXX , but I need the advanced functionality that IPAD just cannot handle. It is a little heavy for a tablet but problem free unlike the other major companies tablet I tried, no it was not Apple or HP. With that said, with the exceptions of the last two tables I purchased, I generally do not like Dell products and found windows 8 clunky โ however their PC support is much longer and more inclusive (yes it always someone that speaks poor English and or Spanish โ but so do the rest). The XPS 10 tablet was junk, constantly required rebuilding the OS due to the processor, solid state drive, etc. This little thing does more than my new HP PC and has outstanding battery life. The only reason I have not converted my PC into a boat anchor is the lack of a USB ports that will drive external devices like my HDMI port.

I think a managed to strike a very good deal when I purchased my Venue 11 Pro online ...
First off, I think a managed to strike a very good deal when I purchased my Venue 11 Pro online as a slightly used device with 8 Gig RAM and 256 Gig SSD. The deal include a brand new docking station, an active stylus/pen, Office 2010 (legit copy with activation code) and keyboard/cover, all for slightly over $420. So my review is definitely biased as a result of the price. Also, since I owned a Microsoft Surface Pro 3 i7 version before, this will inevitable turn into a Venue 11Pro vs Surface Pro3 comparision. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 i7 version I owned before had 256Gig SSD and 8Gig RAM, type cover and docking station, which I paid about $1400 for. IMHO, the Surface Pro 3 is definitely the best tablet, after one buys the accessories, and it is extremely stylish, too. But it comes at a price. The Venue11 Pro comes with an i5 CPU which is slightly slower than the i7, but in real life I think the difference is indistinguishable. As of this writing the Venue Pro 11 definitely needs all the latest firmware and drivers downloaded and installed from Dell to get the full potential and troublefree operation. Unlike the Surface Pro3, the Venue 11 Pro can be upgraded by simply removing the plastic backplate to gain access to the M.2 SATA slot, RAM and WiFi adapter (not to mention the SIM card slot, if one wants to install a WWAN capable adapter). I upgraded mine with a 500GB SSD in less than 20 minutes without much hassle. The WiFi adapter can be replaced with one that also supports WWAN at which point one will need to purchase a SIM card and service from a cellular provider, install the SIM card in the available slot, and then happy net surfing via cellular when WiFi is unavailable. I found the 11 inch size of the Venue 11 Pro comfortable to handle and the 1920x1080 screen resolution to be more than adequate. It has enough connections for all the right attachments (USB 3.0 slot, mini HDMI port). There is also an SD card slot in case of need (either to increase storage that way, or to simply read SD cards from photo cameras or other devices). The accessories for the Venue 11 Pro are somewhat less sophisticated than those for the Surface Pro 3 but they do accomplish the job. One shortcoming in particular is that while the Surface Pro 3 can be docked with the type cover/keyboard attached, the Venue 11 Pro is an 'either or' case: either you dock it, in which case another external keyboard or the onscreen keyboard must be used. Or you attach the type cover/keyboard but can't dock the tablet. The table comes with its own AC adapter to power the tablet with the keyboard attached, but the convenience of attaching peripherals via the docking stations is lost. It must be pointed out that these days the completion in the table arena is hotter than ever. However, many tablets come with lesser CPU, less RAM and much smaller storage. So in my mind, at the right price, the Venue 11 Pro is a worthwhile purchase.

So Glad I found this Beast!
Just Wow! How did Dell fit all of this into this tiny, comparatively, tablet? An i5 processor, 8 GB RAM and a 256 GB SSD! This tablet is a desktop replacement, laptop replacement and all around almost perfect computer. I've been using mine for over a week now and I absolutely lover it. Boots in under 30 seconds if you've let it power completely down. The screen is amazingly clear and bright and the speed is incredible. I've used a lot of tablets from iPad, Samsung Galaxy Note 8, Asus TF300t, Asus TF700t, Amazon Kindle Fire HDX as well as a few others and consider this one my favorite of the bunch. Now, let me be clear - this is a full Windows 8.1 computer and not a stripped down product like the Microsoft Surface 2. You can install and run any of your favorite Windows programs just like you would on your laptop or desktop. Tablets, in general, tend to leave a lot to be desired in this area. In my experience, when trying to fill out forms on the web or do anything other than casual web browsing most Android and iOS powered devices will give you a lot of grief. Not with this tablet. It is detachable from the keyboard and has two or even three keyboard options, if you decide to use a bluetooth or usb keyboard separately. I purchased both the slim keyboard and the Dell Mobile Keyboard with battery along with the Dell Active Stylus. See my other reviews for those. Windows 8.1 takes some getting accustomed to but I find it very functional and comfortable after just over a week using it. So far, the only complaint I have is that the tablet will sometimes fail to wake up by touching the Windows icon on the bottom bezel or by briefly pressing the power button. I have to reset the tablet by holding the power button for a few seconds and rebooting which only takes about thirty seconds. Hopefully, a fix will be available for that soon. I purchased the SquareTrade 3 year warranty with accidental drop and spill protection. The tablet comes with a 1 year Dell warranty even though it is a refurbished product. All in all, I can honestly say that this is my favorite tablet out of all the ones I've owned and used. It is in a league of its own and is a true alternative to the Microsoft Surface 3.

LOCKED BIOS ruined it
Not good for even the weakest of gaming (whatever the win store offers ) but YouTube and such is OK. I can't fault unit entirely as mine had a locked BIOS and an old BIOS. Seller had me return, sad, it could have some potential. SSD upgrade is a bit tricky, as it uses 2260 size for main. Has a 2240 alt slot, both make for limited choices for upgrade, as most performance SSD are 2280 size and the 2260 slot area simply has no room for the larger ones to fit.

This is a nice tablet!
I really like this tablet - so much so I put my old Vista home theater PC out to rest. Just received this tablet last Friday (delivered quickly, and as ordered) and had the whole weekend to bring this tablet up to spec. I added a USB 3 four port hub, 3TB ext. hard drive, Logitech bluetooth keyboard, Microsoft Touch bluetooth mouse and USB ethernet port, and sent the video via the mini HDMI port to a 32" monitor. I registered the tablet with Dell and made sure all Windows updates were installed. I then received eSupport technical updates from Dell advising of firmware and driver updates - all releases within the last 30 days. Having read about earlier issues with this tablet, these updates were welcomed and expected. All updates were applied this past weekend. I can honestly tell you that I have had no technical issues with this tablet to date. (I will update this post if I do). I sensed from reading through tablet user forums that purchasing this particular Dell Venue tablet, at this time, would be a very good buy. Remember, this is 8 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD, Core i5, 64-bit and Windows 8.1 Pro. I'll write it again - this is a nice tablet!

This tablet sucks, maybe I got a "lemon" granted they make these by the thousands. It shuts down by itself, the keyboard locks up, and many times it simply drops your internet (the web page will sit and spin, then time out). I'm the idiot for waiting too long with the problems I was having. There was no software on it yet. If you buy this tablet, return it right away if you have any of these problems. Don't wait because now I'm paying someone to attempt to fix it. Oh, and there is no s/n number or tag number on the back of it to get help from Dell Directly. Totally sucks!!! I tried a return to Issaquah Highlands Tech and here is there response: Hi, We are so sorry to hear about the problem and glad to help you. Looks like that it's a software problem, a reset should resolve the problem.
