Review: Repetition Repetition Repetition - Everyone knows that the best way to learn a language is the way we learned our mother-tongue, by repeating over and over again (think Tellytubbies). It’s also the way Pimsleur language-learning method which is a personal favourite of mine. Returning from a trip to India (and being rather ashamed that my Hindi was confined to Namaste and Dhanyavaad) I decided to have a bash at learning more. But I wanted to get a handle on Hindi Script too and this book looked just the ticket - pages and pages of characters to trace over and over until the shapes lodge in your muscle-memory. I say the sound out loud each time I write a character as well which helps. You are given permission to make photocopies of the tracing pages which is useful, but I’m finding that just going over the letters which I’ve already completed works too. It’s a really good book for learning the Devanagari. No frills - just put a towel over your head and crack on. Review: I want to refresh my hindi alphabet. - This is nice and very useful workbook. I am sure I will be able to improve my hindi.

An excellent Devanagari workbook
It was exactly as I’d hoped for and more. A thorough guide to writing this beautiful script which complements my learning on Duolingo beautifully. A nice large format print with plenty of room to practise writing, very much aimed at beginners (like me!). Highly recommended for new Devanagari students.

Comprehensive aide to learning Hindi script.
A really useful workbook for the beginner learning Hindi. Not only does it have the letters to trace over, but offers to variations to understanding the sound the letter makes. In addition it shows several examples of font variations to help your future reading of texts. Thirdly it suggests the order in which you should make the strokes in order to write efficiently. An excellent book with extra practise pages too.

Good book !
Not exactly what i expected. I expected it to be more teaching in Hindi grammar rule and so on. But this just teaches you page by page on how to write each letter. My book also came with the first 5-9 pages of some other text. So there must’ve a printing error there.
