Size:8-Pack The Solar Basics Solar Garden Light SB-145 with dual color temperature lights is the perfect landscaping light for illuminating dark pathways, driveways or gardens. Standing 20-inches tall, the solar powered pathway light is constructed of rust-resistant cast aluminum with a powder coated black finish and polished pencil edge. At dusk, this solar outdoor landscape light will automatically turn on and provide 50 lumens in either a warm-white or bright-white color temperature for up to 10 hours on a full battery. Installation is as simple as staking the solar accent light into the ground. No electrical wiring is required, just place in a spot with direct sunshine. Additionally, the replaceable lithium-ion battery pack is crafted to last for about 3 years, or roughly 1, 000 charges. Recharging speed will vary based on weather conditions, but no charging will occur if direct sun does not shine on the solar panel. Do not install or mount the solar pathway light in the shade. Not worth it.
They look great so I was excited when I first opened the box but that quickly changed. One of the four didn’t work at all, ever. The other three worked but barely. They were placed in full sun all day and were dim when they turned on and all the way off by the time we went to bed. Not worth it, don’t waste your money.

Good lights - poor batteries - used to be overpriced
We purchased a set of 8 in October 2019 for $186. As of this review, the price has been cut in half. Bravo!PROS:-they look really nice, and appear to the casual observer to be high quality-dual white or warm light optional settings (we prefer the warm)-easy to install (compared with low-voltage hard-wired types)-attractive oil rubbed bronze finish-clear, high quality glass lenses-on/bright deep into the evening; at our home, they usually come on about 7pm (Spring/Summer), and remain on well past midnight-easy to keep the solar panel clean (simple rinse with a hose, or wipe with a damp rag occasionally)CONS:-flimsy stems (both in-ground and the metal tubing themselves)-short battery life (we have replaced 4 of the 8 solar batteries so far, and they're $30 apiece!)-overpriced (at the time of our purchase; the new/reduced price is much more in line with their quality)RECOMMENDATIONS:-buy them only if the set of 8 is under $100 (overpriced, otherwise)-be prepared to buy a replacement battery or two periodically (you'll know when a particular light turns off earlier than the rest): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B081H3CQMM-buy and use galvanized spikes as the base for the tube, rather than the supplied cheap plastic stakes; like these:https://www.amazon.com/Grip-Rite-Prime-Guard-8HGSPK/dp/B000BD6ELU

Very Good Pathway Lighting
Really like these Solar Basics SBG - 145 DC Pathway Lights. They use rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, which is a big plus. Another plus is the 50 lumens light with dual bright/warm white bulb setting with just a flip of the switch. The solar panel and upper light fixture are well made and sturdy. The upper light fixture uses a sturdy aluminum frame with a sturdy glass globe. The extension tubes are about 6" and are about 1.25" outside diameter thin gauge aluminum. Because the extension tubes are thin they feel a bit cheap, but with the 1.25" diameter and with the end inserts in them they become sturdy. I wish that the extension tubes were about 3" longer and just a little more thicker, but they still work well. The stakes are plastic and they work OK, but I wish that they were aluminum. I could not find the stakes at first, but after looking very closely I found that they were stuck into the extension tubes. Make sure you pull out the stakes from the extension tubes before contacting customer service. The shipping box was flimsy and they could use better packaging. Now only time will tell how good they really are. I would recommend these pathway lights to a friend. Good Job Solar Basics!

Super disappointed with these! We bought two 8 packs-one light arrived completely shattered (the box wasn't damaged, but hey not a big deal we have 15 more and I figured I only needed 12 total) My husband was excited because these were 50 lumen compared to the 10 lumen lights we were replacing. So after a few days of direct sunlight (we gave it 3 days just to make sure it wasn't user error...not enough time to warm up or direct sunlight/I also double-checked all of them to make sure the internal switch was on) we have 4 lights out of 15 that actually work! 4!?! I am not sure if they were damaged during transit, but regardless-no light, not even a soft dim, nothing. We're super disappointed and just a waste of time/energy/and money.

Faulty Units
I looked online for outdoor lights which were attractive as well as having overall excellent reviews. Two light settings was bonus. My first shipment (8 lights) had virtually no packing materials and each light was damaged. When I received the replacement set only a few of them worked. I contacted the manufacturer who then sent me 8 new batteries. Having replaced the batteries only a few worked. I live by Phoenix so solar power was not an issue. I contacted Amazon and they promptly refunded me upon my return of the lights.I would not recommend these lights, they were such a huge disappointment.

This is really a Gama Sonic light
I ordered multiple packages of these lights via Amazon Warehouse Deals for an avg price of $12.50 a light, the lights were used briefly or looked over and returned. So I fully charged them and put them out, I love them but while researching batteries, they are almost impossible to find. I opened the battery compartment and noticed it said "Gama Sonic" on the battery, I looked it up and here they have a discontinued GS-145, the exact light, Amazon sells them for $29.99 each. In order to change the battery, 5 screws must be removed (incl battery compartment) because where the wire is clipped, it is under the housing, extreme care must be used as to not break anything underneath. The battery is available perhaps for the time being on Gama Sonic's website for $9.95 pl shipping..Greenstell Solar Lights Outdoor,Super-Bright,Auto On/Off,Waterproof,LED Solar Powered Pathway Light for Garden,Landscape,Path,Yard,Patio,Driveway,Walkway,Silver (6 Pack) IMO is a better choice with easier more affordable and accessible batteries. That aside the SB 145 is the brightest light I ever seen. The Grenstell is bright also.

Great Light
I really enjoyed the ease of assembly and the light produced by theses lights. I put them in and waited 1 week before I pulled out my old Pathway Lights.UPDATE: After using these since I installed them last September one of the lights stopped working. I contacted Amazon and was told that it out of warranty for them to replace it. I did receive a credit for the one item. I do not think that Amazon should be doing business with a manufacturer who cannot be contacted. The 2 year warranty is worthless.
