Not as Intimidating as it Looks
Model is not as intimidating as it looks! Took about an hour in a half to assemble. Great addition to any mechanicus adapetus army on a casual or competitive level, consider buying two for your army for competitive play. Official color scheme is very easy to follow and paint; leadbelcher, Mephiston Red, Abbandon Black, Retributor Armor, Nuln Oil, zandari dust was all I used. has a very large base you can put your figure on, but it's not necessary to use even in official play. Looks better without base if you are not planning on decorating the base.

Great kit.
This kit came together very nicely, but has lots of small fragile pieces. So look out for getting them out of the sprue. Over all am very pleased, especially with the discounted price over GW.

The model came quick and on time. The unit itself is amazing and any skitarii force should have at least one of these, the Icarus array makes this the best anti air unit in the game and the neutron laser will kill just about anything with its s10 ap1 small blast.

As if spiders weren't dangerous enough...
I have purchased quite a few sets from GW I'd consider "fiddly," and the Onager Dunecrawler is by far the fiddliest. The model comes unassembled on three sprues with an instruction booklet, transfer sheet, and massive 130mm base. If you're expecting a quick build, you'll be disappointed, as assembling the machine with all the various hoses, cables, and mechanical bits will take you a very long time and may lead to you gluing your fingers together (voice of experience). The biggest pain for me was the ladder on the side, as each rung was an individual piece that had to be glued onto the side of the hull one at a time. Very time consuming, but it was worth it in the end. The final result is a very impressive piece that looks great in an Adeptus Mechanicus army, even though there are some fragile pieces that could break off if improperly handled. Options-wise, the kit is absolutely LOADED. On the legs, you have the option for bare spider legs, armored spider legs, and additional traction pads that can either fold up over the leg armor, or fit over the foot to give it a bigger footprint. Moving to the hull, the front of the tank boasts places for either servo-arms or headlights, the aerial can be fitted with a radar dish, additional antennae, or a small missile pod, and the hatch can be either built open or closed, complete with fully-buildable driver and mounted gun. The biggest feature is the gigantic gun on the left side of the tank, and you get four different and very cool options. You can choose from the dual phosphor-blaster (dual machine gun), Icarus array (flak guns and missile pod), neutron laser (REALLY big cannon with machine gun underneath) or eradication beamer (steampunk death ray), and they can be assembled pointing up or down as you prefer. Personally, I'm using the headlights, closed hatch, radar dish, and eradication beamer to create a proxy Storm Strider for my Cygnar army. If you play Adeptus Mechanicus and need some heavy support, or just want an awesome display piece for your collection, the Onager Dunecrawler is a must. If you're a novice hobbyist, don't want a gigantic spider tank in your army, or simply don't like lots of little fiddly bits, I'd say give him a pass. It's all up to you.
