A decent book. I wanted to give it 3.5 stars, but the length and lack of action pushed it down to 3 stars for me. Even though thus us a short book the slow pace and it very text heavy make the book seem longer. I usually do not mind if the pace is slow or there is more text for detail, but here the a long conversation the it us a few months later. The Assassins Brotherhood has been betrayed. Now years later survivors have found the people responsible, but there is much more at play here then meets the eye. Who and what are the Bloodstones? An of short book, I was annoyed, as soon as the book really got going for me it was over. I dud like the art style but I don't think it went well with this story. Lots of twists and turns. Too many unanswered questions for me.

An Assassin’s Creed Comic Book of Missed Potential
This is the 2nd Assassin’s Creed comic book I’ve gotten into so far. The Conspiracies Collection was an excellent read and this does continue the story set from the WWII series. The art style and color is fantastic and fun to look at. Only thing I have about it in relation to my rating is that the newly introduced characters spew out a lot of nods to what is established in canon( movie included). So you have to pay attention to what the characters explain because it comes back in a pay off later. Unlike the previous literation of Conspiracies, this doesn’t explore the Vietnam War that much and the title character doesn’t do much of anything compared to his hooded military-robed appearance on the book cover which is disappointing. All in all, while the book adds a new historical setting and adds new lore to the story; it becomes hard to follow what is going on and the setting is under utilized to the fullest potential. If you are a Assassin’s Creed fan you just might enjoy it. But if a casual reader getting into the series and it’s lore, this may be too much to take in as a beginner.

Nothing to write home about..
The art for this comic is above average but the story felt quite boring, especially for a story using the Vietnam war as a setting, the underutilization of the setting truly sours the experience. The modern day parts are about as good as they are when they’re in the current AC games so take that as you will. Overall I’d say this is a lackluster comic with an underwhelming story to tell.
