Northeastern Minnesota All-Outdoors Atlas

I bought both the Central & Northwest and Northeastern MN map books. The map book is SO close to being perfect and the thing that keeps it from being perfect is kind of hard to understand. Rather than print with a blank margin where the metal spiral binding holes are located they punch the holes in the edge of the printed map. Approximately two-thirds of the map edges are obliterated by the holes punched through and the metal binding blocks the remaining view. I found myself surprised just how often the area I was looking at was useless because of this. The maps themselves are awesomely detailed, but, this one super-flaw was enough that I returned them. If they ever fix this issue I would buy the maps again in a heartbeat.

Very nicely laid out and useful information. I needed this for hunting up in Minnesota and it will be very helpful for my next trip.

No details of use. What is there is so small it's hard to read. I got this to get details on the ATV trails in Nemadji state forest. It shows nothing for this location even though the park is full of trails. Absolutely useless!

This is exactly the item you want if you are looking for fabulous unknown rural scenery, rustic roads, and leisurely country driving for a relaxing and enjoyable time. A company that takes its business seriously.

I am a First Responder as well as an avid aventurer. This book is great because of its detail. I suggest this book to ANYONE. Even if you are not the outdoorsy type, its still a great road atlas!

I use this atlas a lot for researching my North Shore books, including  Camping the North Shore: A Guide to the 23 Best Campgrounds in Minnesota's Spectacular Lake Superior Region (There & Back Guides)  and  Skiing the North Shore: A Guide to Cross Country Trails in Minnesota's Spectacular Lake Superior Region . It has virtually every recreational resource in the area on the maps, from obscure campgrounds to even more obscure trails.Only two small complaints: the lines for the snowmobile trails are way bigger and thicker on the map than the roads, so the roads can be hard to follow, especially just off the beaten path. Also, the ink or the paper or something is really stinky; even after a year in use it's still off-gassing.If you recreate in NE Minnesota, this is the best all-around map resource.
