Review: Excellent for live shows or general use - I use these batteries in some vintage Cetec Vega wireless microphones that use 9V’s and are notorious for being battery hogs. Each time I use these microphones, they’re on for at least three hours at a time. The Energizer Industrial batteries still read slightly above 8.5V on a multimeter even after three or more sessions (about 9 hours of use). In other words, these things last forever and are about the best options on the market for live use. These batteries are also more of a normal size and fit these microphones pretty well, too. I used to use Procells, but when those started getting sketchy in terms of reliability, I switched over to these Energizer Industrial batteries. The Energizers have never leaked, and I’ve never had a dud. In short, I highly recommend these. For what it’s worth, the AA and AAA cells are also fantastic, too.

Have now installed in 6 residential smoke detectors with no initial issues or thermal voltage drops (heat or cold weather voltage changes with related false alarms). Good product at a good price. Note: Protective plastic-top (easy to remove) insulator cap is installed on each and every battery,to prevent shorting if cells contact top posts during storage. Great to see the Energizer (manufacturer) bulk-pack these batteries within a single, plain, easy-to-recycle, single wall cardboard dispenser box; desertcart shipping however, needs to do the same...a 2" x 3" x 6" box placed into a 12" x 12" x12" shipping carton with filler, is an overkill and environmentally questionable. **Q: These batteries should have an expiration date of October 2021.  [7 years]  What is the expiration date on these batteries?  October 2020 is okay.**
A: Bought from BN Products - March 2016. Good to Dec 2020. So good for 4 1/2 years not 7.

**Q: Why is this item marked as ($0.97/oz)? Shouldn't it be per count, like the other battery items?**
A: Hello. I am not sure why the price is marked that way. I believe it is something done by Amazon as it is not an option I (as a seller) have. My price is listed at $14. I hope this helps.

**Q: If I order today, August 12, 2018, what would be the expiration date on the shipped batteries?**
A: I can only tell you that I ordered a bunch of these at least a year or two ago and I checked one and it had an expiration date of 12-2022.  I have been very satisfied with them.  Maybe I'm just lucky but I have never had a 9v battery leak, no matter how old it was.

These are the same batteries I was going to buy in the store but cost less because they came in bulk packaging. That actually worked better for me, since I needed a bunch to replace them in smoke detectors. It's a lot less effort and trash getting them this way.
