Terrific
Set aside all your preconceptions and get ready for hero story telling at it's best. The art and story hold up the best traditions of even the most picky fan.

I was disappointed that it did not continue the storyline from the past volume, but what is in the volume is still great. What is in this volume is some back story on Black Canary, Starlight, and an interesting story arc about Poision Ivy.

Not terrible, but not great either
This is the collection of the ongoing series Birds of Prey Vol. 2, issues #8-12 and #0. It includes a few pages of preview sketches of the different covers and characters at the end.First, its a little hard for me to buy the fact that batgirl would team up with a bunch of known killers, and allows her team mates to act as judge, jury, and executioner without so much as a second thought. I also find it hard to believe that she wouldn't just ask batman to come up with an antidote for her team, instead of going on these crazy acts of terrorism.I liked the art, its is up to par with anything else in most current DC comic book series. I liked the idea of this team-up, but was disappointed with the fact that one of the team goes rouge so early in the series, and forces the others to essentially become terrorists. Im curious where they are going to go with Black Canery and the story with her husband, but not enough to draw me back in for Vol 3.So far I have yet to see the team really face a villan that would justify a reason for them to all team up. These hard core super-ladies are used to working alone, and this feels strained as their is nothing really imperative happening to bring them together as a team. Not sure I would recommend this series over so many of the others that are out their in the current market!

If not for Starling it would be pretty good
This vol is a little more exciting than the first I'd say but it seemed a little choppy at times to me. Also Starling's forced alcohalic "humor"made me roll my eyes every time. Not sure if they were trying to emulate Jack Sparrow and his rum with her and her whiskey but it didn't work for me. The art is still good and there is a huge "oh crap" cliffhanger at the end. If not for Starling it would have been rated higher

Not as good as Vol.1 but still good enough to buy.
I liked the art in "A Far Cry" and "First Flight" but didn't really take to the rest of the art. The story is confusing with all the jumping around in time. There was one moment of obvious fan service that made me chuckle. It isn't as good as the first volume, but it is still a good comic, and worth the buy - especially since Vol 3 makes up for Vol 2! Besides, the characters' personalities still shine.
