Q: Has anyone got this working with a bt youview box. i bought one but my bt box now can`t connect to the internet. everything else works fine.

Yes. Running a BT YouView box, Xbox, Desk PC and a BT Powerline adaptor from this box. Also using it in conjunction with a Tenda Nova WiFi mesh system. So the WAN port on the Tenda unit is connected to the BT Hub, the Lan cable from the Tenda runs into the Switch, the remaining four ports on the Switch go to the above, and I have a further unit connected by the BT Powerline adaptor to a laptop which can't utilise WiFi effectively elsewhere. Finally the house seems to be fully connected, and although I'm only getting around 40-50mbps to my desk PC which is connected to the switch out of a potential 70 from BT that's more than adequate for my purposes.

Q: Can anyone tell me what me the dimensions/type of the DC plug at the back of the of the switch? Im planning to power it via usb

I dont think you can power it via usb

Q: Can I limit the speed of one particular port? (i.e. port 2 max 2Mbps)

You need a "managed network switch

No, it comes with eight ethernet sockets. You can buy ethernet cables in many places.
