Zildjian K0970 17" K Custom Dark China Cymbal

Sucker is perfect. I use zildjian k custom dry’s as my main cymbal set, and though this isn’t try it fits PERFECT in the sound while still being unique enough to stand out and have it’s own character. It’s durable, and just heckin consistent sound wise. GET IT. Will be perfect paired with A customs, k customs, anything. JUST GET IT.

We were looking for a cymbal that had a good sound and a quick dissipation of sounds. This does both. It does sound a little bit like a chyna even though it is an 18" cymbal. But it's a nice difference in contrast to some of the wet k customs. The top is uncoated and will change but you need to treat it a little. The bottom side is coated and won't need much attention. I thought it would have been a thin sound but that is not the case. Full sound fast decay.

Absolutely love this ride. Edge is great for jazz. Bell rings true and can drive a straight beat in the mid sections. Crash even sound big and not too trashy. I pretty amazed after switching from an 80s Ping Ride by Zildjian. Love it.

I was searching for a nice dark, kinda trashy cymbal without going Constantinople $$. I was intrigued by this cymbal due to the hammering it has, and Amazon being $100 cheaper than Guitar Center and Sweetwater so I figured worth a shot with the ease of returns. I really enjoy the sounds of the cymbal, however it does feel just a little on the stiffer side. I’ve been dealing with it because it does sound really good to me, just takes a little more effort to open up than I’d prefer. It’s worth noting that I’m using this mostly as an accent/crash cymbal. I know you’re thinking I’m crazy for using it that way but I can’t help myself, I just like big cymbals. As far as using it as a ride, it has a nice crisp jazzy sound, dark and complex. Mine weighs 2,652 grams which is about in the middle of their weight. If you know zildjian you know their weights for the same cymbal can be all over the place, making them difficult to track down a certain sound and feel. They are all truly different from each other. Overall I would say give this cymbal a shot, if you’re looking for a overall good ride I think you will like it, if you’re looking for a wobbly, easy to lay into cymbal, this won’t be it. I have a 23” k sweet that opens up a lot easier for what it’s worth.

This was shipped in a laughably poor box. The box was about twice as big as the cymbal. It was padded with only one small piece of brown paper... The cymbal was clearly bouncing around in the box during shipping as there were big slices on the edge of the box where the cymbal was hitting. This lead to the edges of the cymbal being rough and damaged and there was also a big dent near the cymbal edge. I'm in the process of trying to get a replacement from Amazon. However, the cymbal sounds great, but I expect a mint condition cymbal at this price range... Packaging gets a negative 10 stars, but cymbal sound gets 5 stars.

When this arrived and I played it for the first time, it was not what I was expecting. I was used to a very heavy and loud ride. But after playing this for a little while, I love it! The amount of musical capabilities of this cymbal is amazing. The ping of the cymbal sits just where it should in the mix. The wash and sustain are perfect for worship music or jazz. All in all this is the best ride I have ever had. Well worth the money!

Got the 22". Been playing 57 years and had lots of rides. This is one of the worst playing and sounding rides I have ever played at any price. It played thick like a heavy Metal or Power Ride. It had so much loud wash and loud, obnoxious overtones it rendered itself unusable for anything except high volume where it wouldn't be heard anyway. I may have gotten a dud. But I doubt it since Zildjians are produced by computerized automation seeking consistency per their videos. It is fine that others may love it. I just don't happen to be one of them.

Great sounding ride if you're looking for a bit more "ping" than the regular, non-custom, K ride. Still has some nice, dark undertones going on and I find it still very crashable with a wonderful bell. Overall, it's a very versatile ride that is one of the best sounding I have ever had in almost 30 years of playing.

Nicht wirklich gepolstert versendet aber es kam heil an. Klingt so wie man sich ein China Becken vorstellt. Schön dunkel.

凄い音大きいです。 チャイナは初購入です。 動画など見て、中国製は高音がキーンとしてて、音がギラギラしてそうなイメージだったので安くても購入はどうか？と控えてました。 チャイナですが、この感じはＫジルジャンならではなんじゃないかと？思います。 口径の大きいシンバルが好きなんですが、これ以上大きいの買わなくって良かったと思ってます。 破壊力抜群！！！！！。 Ａの１８インチ、チャイナローと迷ってたんですが、買えるならＫだろうと・・・。 Ｋジルジャンを何枚購入させて貰いましたが、薄く軽い感じです。 安物だから、演奏でシンバルが割れた・・・と勘違いして、Ｋジルジャンなら高級品だから割れないだろう・・・という方は購入をお薦めしません。 スティックをグーで握って、思いっきり叩けば確実に割れます。 思いっきり叩いて割れないシンバルが良いシンバルではありません。 このチャイナも繊細な作りです。 ドラムはパワー！怪力だ！というトンチンカンには向かないシンバルです。
