Very Tough
I bought these for my 2008 Cannondale Carbon Synapse 105 to replace the 23mm 'slicks' that came on it.These tire transformed that bike and make it into a pseudo gravel bike. I have about 500 miles on these tires so far with about 200 miles pavement and 300 miles crushed gravel paths and single track. (I even did a winter ride and the trail had a thin layer of snow in places). The traction that bike has now is incredible. I am now able to take a short cut up a steep single track climb to avoid a long busy road which is awesome.I run around 45-50 PSI in the front and 50-55 PSI in the rear and have never had a pitch flat or puncture. Even after hitting a 2-3 inch deep pothole (rear tire only, was able to lift front over it at last second) at around 15 MPH.At under $25 I am ordering a second pair for when this set wears out.The only bad thing, albeit minor, is the small rubber nipples on the sidewalls rubbed the paint off the inside of my fork and rear chain stays. I used finger nail clipper to cut them off but there is a like a thousand of them and it took forever. Not a deal breaker and on most bikes would not rub.

Vittoria Randonneur II Trekking Tire
I have used the Vittoria Randonneur II Trekking Tires for about 4 years. These are the best tires I have used for all-around road conditions including soft sand. The thing I like the most is since using the Vittoria Randonneur II Trekking Tires I have not had a flat tire. Other tires I have used I have had flat just hitting rough roads with the sidewalls tearing.I give these tires two thumbs up.

Great tires!
Tires that delivers on perilous city. streets I ride on shards of shatter glass and sided nails from urban development and no flats this far. Bike also feels a bit more nibble and agile less cumbersome while maneuvering. Highly recommend. Delivery was swift, but packaging was flimsily placed within a yellow packaging envelope that arrived partially torn upon arrival. A few more days in shipment and my package would have been lost. Seller should switch to cardboard.

I like 'em
I went from high pressure 20 year old Contis to these. The ride is incredibly smooth compared to the high-pressure tires. They are not well-regarded by the speed crowd because they apparently have pretty high rolling resistance, but I'm really happy. No flats in over 3000 miles, but I'm very careful. I'm a recreational rider, 60-100 miles/week on paved roads. I'm also over 70 and have given up on speed. I liked the Contis when I was younger, now, not so much. BTW. I had to top off the high pressure tires every day or so; these stay at 85-90 psi for over a week.Edited to add: One reviewer gave these 1 star because they are very hard to mount. I, too, find them very hard to mount. That's less of a problem for me, because 1) I bought a Kool-Stop Tire Jack, and 2) my LBS will mount a tube and tire for free for customers who buy a tube or tire (or both, I assume) from them. These are hard to mount.

Fast/Good Tire for Big Guys
The 38cm size is good for a clyde, such as myself, who wants to use slicks for city riding without destroying their rims. These tires are really fast, but if the grooves weren't so deep they could be even faster. Haven't had a flat in the 2 months or so that these have been in use.
