What kind of cutting is this? 1st, 2nd, or 3rd? What is better to give a rabbit?

I've been buying timothy hay from Small Pet Select for about a year now. The cut depends on the time of year. They sell 1st cut and 2nd cut. This box was 2nd cut. It is still a much better quality then the local chain stores. And I love that it is delivered right to my house in a great storage box. I've noticed lots of brown parts in this hay. Is that normal? It seems to get brown very quickly.

It's hand-picked and packaged in small batches. It's also 100% Timothy hay. Really excellent quality- my bunny gives it two ears up! I used to get the 2nd cutting, but now I get the 1st cutting since it is coarser so, IMO, better for the dental health of my bunny. Great company with excellent cutomer service & FAST shipping!
