REVIEW FOR THIEYE Dash Cam Wifi Full HD 1080P, Mini Car DVR Dashboard Camera with 32GB SD Card ONLY.I have been using this camera since August. I tried several cameras, some were of comparable build and lens quality, a few were of a better specification and build quality but were twice or more the price, however, the common problem with them was the lack of sufficient horizontal , sometimes vertical, movement of the camera; my wipers sweep from the centre and leave a substantial 'widow's peak' area from the top down in the centre of the windscreen, visible when wet or dry/dusty - which is a lot of the time as I live in a dusty rural area - when placed unobtrusively high on the windscreen, the lens/field of view on the others was sufficiently obstructed as to render the overall picture poor; most of them needed to be positioned in the centre of the screen - obstructs driving vision, or on the dash - lack of height and horizontal mobility then became the problem and the road field of view near the bonnet area became diminished - they were great for filming traffic fifty yards away, but not just in front of the car -which is where you need it . Anyway, this camera solves all the problems with its ability to swivel left, right, up, down, and all in-between, to a great degree on a well-designed, sturdy, ball and socket suction pad.The suction pad is very good; I have a factory-fitted 'material' behind my mirror on the screen - it may be to stop glare - but this is the only suction pad I could get to stick on it, and it does stick very securely; I have been abroad recently with very hot temperatures hitting the screen and it stayed put.The picture quality is very good, including at night, and picks out registration plates at a fair distance; you do get some brief initial 'flare' when turning into the sun full on, but I am satisfied that this camera will record material of high enough quality to use as evidence in court - otherwise, it would have been returned. Wet weather obviously has some effect, but I have no complaints regarding picture quality playback.I like that the controls are minimal and fitted to the rear of the unit so one can see what one is pressing - pull towards you from the bottom of the front of the camera to steady it and select a control with the same hand thumb or your other hand, the buttons don't need firm pressing.The storage card is easy to remove without even seeing it, you can find it easily with the finger and 'click', it's out, likewise, easy to put back.Software upgrade is easy, too, simply log-on to their site and download the file direct to the camera.Compared to some of the other cameras, It is quite a sizeable unit - some liken it on here to a 35mm camera lense - but I have most of it is hidden behind my mirror and it can barely be noticed from outside even if you know it is there; not knowing, I doubt the casual observer would notice it, either, but having tried a smaller 'orb' camera to enable better concealment - the HBQKING - which was of very good quality, much smaller, and you could rotate 360 degrees, it lacked horizontal and other 'play' and, because of its small size, the controls were very fiddly; this is a much easier camera to operate.I tried the non-wireless version first, but I recommend this model, the wireless version, because although the camera has a decent rear screen, getting the correct set-up for field of view when in the driver's seat is so much easier when you can see it on your phone and especially for 'in-car' playback.

Great price for a camera that can give you piece of mind in the road. Comes with a memory card which is really handy if you don't have any lying around.Easy to install (I used a hardwire kit to hide all the cables) and have it suctioned behind the wing mirror.It's a bit fiddly to change settings but once you have it set up you shouldn't have to touch it. I had to turn the G sensitivity down to avoid it locking the video for just closing the door.The only thing I didn't like was the so called App to transfer videos to your phone and to watch videos back. It's not great and playback is very slow and the transfer of videos is only in-app (for my iPhone anyway, it won't transfer to the camera roll or videos on the phone, it just saves them into the App so you can't upload or send it) which is pretty pointless in my view so getting marked down for that.Quality of video is good enough for the price as well and can just forget it's there.

I own nextbase dashcam but needed one for wife, who did not want a big bulky looking dashcam in her car. I choose this one based on reviews we have been using for a little over a week, first its a great clear picture both during day light and night time, the one feature my wife really loves is the screen turns itself off not causing unnecessary glare during night time use. Sound quality is really good, a very simple set up for the app and connection to smart phone. The suction mount is really strong the choose of the two cables are great short for mounting on dash the longer one for window. Over all great dashcam would i recommend yes. Would i use if i did not have my nextbase yes i would by a second for my car

Working well for a few years now no updates so can’t view on my mobile so totally useless I think I was conned when buying it but to late now there should be recompense for people buying this from amazon

The media could not be loaded. Would recommend this dashcam. Great quality considering the price. Wouldn't bother paying for a more expensive one as this exceeded my expectations. Gforce setting automatically starts recording when it detects something hitting the car which is great especially if you’re parked and come back to find your car has a dent - hopefully you would have proof on the camera then. However whilst driving it locks the files when it detects me going over a bump which overtime would clog the memory as although i have the settings on loop, it will not override a locked file. Therefore I have changed the settings of the gforce to a lower one. It also connects to your phone to send the videos over if you are within distance of the dashcam to be able to transfer over wifi which is another quality i like about this. Overall I would definitely recommend considering the price.

This is badly designed because the power supply and the window attachment are both in the same place making it impossible for me to set it up as I would like to. I bought it to monitor my dogs whilst in my truck.Also the ability to actually view on your phone is hit and miss and only works for a few seconds before it says it’s not connected!!Even when attached to a power supply it cuts out after a few minutes!If you use it for security make sure the thieves steal within the first five minutes and as a dash cam you will hear it shut down after 5 minutes

To be honest this is one of the best dashcams on market as is so user friendly, and it even comes with its own sd card which many others dashcams don’t do that. Love the fact it comes with a suction cup mount and a sticker mount, giving u a choice. Also the use of the app is great as is even easier to save videos on the phone directly. In addition it does have audio recording !!!!

Simple and basic dascam which does serve its purpose.good value for money
