T-fal Ultimate Non Stick Pots and Pans Cookware Set, 17-Piece, Onyx

My previous cookware set was a T-Fal set that was absolutely horrible, so I was not interested in getting another one. But this set had the highest rating of all cookware sets on Amazon in my price range, and let me tell you, I am SO GLAD I GOT THIS ONE! This cookware is AMAZING! Out of all the cookware I have owned in my life, this one by far, is my #1 favorite, it is the easiest to cook with and the easiest to clean. This cookware set has explicit instructions on how to season it before the first use, and how often it needs to be re-seasoned. Because of arthritis I never owned any iron cookware, so I had never seasoned a piece of cookware before. But T-Fal's instructions are very easy to follow and made seasoning a breeze! Did I mention how easy it is to clean? Everything wipes right out with a paper towel before washing! No sticking at all! The instructions say you can put these in the dishwasher, but T-Fal RECOMMENDS handwashing, which is what I do. It also says you can use metal utensils on this cookware, but again, T-Fal RECOMMENDS that you use plastic or wooden utensils. BE AWARE - T-Fal RECOMMENDS that this set not be heated above medium heat, as it can cause warping and such. At first, I was disappointed to learn this. But the Titanium heats fairly fast and cooks great at medium heat, and even sears meats. I have an electric stove; the temperature controls for the stove top burners range between 1-10, and the highest heat I have used with these is 6.5 on occasion, but normally, I use them at around 5-5.5, and my food cooks perfectly.

I wanted to wait at least a couple after my initial purchase to write a review, since writing an immediate review offers little information as to the durability of the product. I purchased my first T-Fal set of pots and pans nearly 45 years ago, and never regretted the decision, just as I've not regretted this one. After several months of use, the pots and pans looks as they did when I purchased them, no discoloring, and no scratches. The only thing that is slightly affected is the bottom of the pans where they are frequently slid back and forth over the stove top burner. Of course, this poses no problem for me, as I'm not concerned about the bottom, and as stated, it's only slightly affected. One of the things that I really like about this set is the "weight" of them. They aren't lightest pots and pans, neither are they the heaviest. They are in fact, about medium weight and thickness. I suppose you could say they are in the "Goldie Locks" zone, in other words, the weight and thickness are "just right." As I am not always careful about storing my pots and pans, I decided with this set to purchase some pot and pans dividers/protectors which can be cut to size and placed on the inside surface of the pans to keep them from coming into contact with the other pots and pans, thus preventing accidental scratching, especially, if one tends to "toss" them into the cupboard, instead of gently laying them down. Everything about this T-Fal set is by and large "pros." However, there is one slight "con," and that is because of the way the bottom of the set is designed for optimum heat distribution, they are prone to sliding around on the stove top. This problem is solved easily enough by just holding onto the handle when stirring anything. It might seem like a small nuisance, but like anything, doing frequently, it will become a habit, and you will doing it without thinking about it. Actually, I would think this would be the safest way to stir things on the stove even if they didn't tend to slide a little. With this set, I did take the time to read quite a few of the reviews, and I was impressed to say the least. One video review showed a customer who had bought this same set about five years before, as well as the same set recently. I was quite impressed with the five-year old set as it looked brand new, except with a little wear on the bottom. Oh yes, there is one more "con," sort of, and that is there aren't lids for every pot and pans, in fact, there about half as many lids and there are pots and pans, although, each lid fit two pots or pans. So, if it were possible, I would purchase lids for all of them, despite the fact that it really isn't necessary seeing as most people only have four burners on their stove, and foods that had already been cooked would most likely have been placed into bowls. But, what if I didn't want to place it in a bowl, and wanted to set the whole thing aside with the lid on it? But alas, me thinks I will survive this great disadvantage. Obviously, a person could spend a lot more money on a set of pots and pans, but for everyday cooking, I don't think you could purchase a better set, at least, not for the money. Ken

It's been about 10 years since we got new pots and pans. I did a lot of research and looking around at various brands and styles of cookware. Stainless steel, ceramic, titanium, cast iron etc. After reading a lot of the reviews regarding the ceramic ones, people had mentioned that you got to be we're real careful with them because they'll chip easily. Stainless steel isn't really nonstick, we have cast iron and we use it for some things and it's great for that. But we need it a really good all-around pots and pans set. I was weary about buying this brand because it's literally a brand they sell at Walmart. I wanted good quality, not Walmart crap. This set of pots and pans had the highest number of stars amongst all the different styles of cookware. The price was good too. I figured I'd give it a try. It's Amazon. I can always return it after being about 3 weeks in to using these, I got to say they are phenomenal. I love them, my wife loves them. Absolutely non-stick. No butter spray or anything like that needed. They clean up super easy. You don't have to worry about being gentle while storing them and stacking them within each other. They cook evenly And they seem like they're very well built. Don't be fooled by the brand name and the fact that you can just pick them up at Walmart. These are on a different level of quality. I'd recommend them to anybody. Great stuff

I received this set in early October 2024. I have not been disappointed. The pots/pans clean very easily. Even if I forget to put some water in a pot after making something like oatmeal, rice, or mac & cheese, it doesn't take much effort to clean out the residue. I also have not had an egg stick to any pan. For people wondering what use non-stick pots are, I can say one pot meals and easy cleanup are at the top of the list. My main reason for buying this brand was to have an undamaged set of pots and pans for as long as possible, and this was the one brand that had the longest record of having previously stood up to the abuse that someone in my household puts cookware through. It has not disappointed on this front either. The only con for me is that they do slide a bit while cooking, which means I have to be a bit more careful when I stir something or adjust a pot/pan when cooking. They do seem to discolor/lighten a bit on the bottom after the first use, but as it does not seem to affect the cooking ability of the pots/pans in any way, it's not a problem for me. The pans don't eliminate my hot spots, but again, not a deal breaker. I also hand wash everything and only use silicone/wooden utensils when cooking, and the insides of the pots/pans seem the same as when I first got them. At this time, when I have to replace this set or pieces of this set, which, being non-stick, I know I'll have to, I would definitely consider buying more from this brand. I'll still keep my undamaged cast iron and stainless steel pots/pans since non-stick isn't really a good replacement for some things. In the beginning, I did receive an odd lid and exchanged several e-mails, with pictures and videos, with T-fal support. After finally finding a box that the lid and its pan could fit into, I was able to return the lid and the pan that it fit (yes, I was required to return both) and was eventually sent a replacement pan and lid.

I’ve been extremely impressed with the T-Fal Ultimate Hard Anodized Nonstick 17-Piece Cookware Set. From the moment I started using it, I could tell it was built with quality and durability in mind. I’ve had this set for 2-years now. It still works great! Still looks new, and hasn’t chipped. The set cooks the same as when I first purchased it.

I have been researching replacement cookware for a long time and always found myself unsure of what to buy. I am not a home chef or even someone who cooks a great deal, but I did want something that was non-stick and non-toxic. All the major brands were expensive and reviewers seemed to fall out of love with them after a while or at least find a few disappointments right off the bat. And then I found these (here the angels singing in the background)? All I can say is what a find! Now keep in mind, as I said, I do not cook a lot or even every day. But I have had these for several weeks and really do love them. I have used the small fry pan for eggs, the small pot for oatmeal, the middle pan for pancakes and the larger pot for pasta. Pros: 1. Came beautifully and carefully packed. Two pans had small scratches on the lip of the pan (not a cooking surface) and one lid had a tiny ping in the lip where it closes on the pan. But non of this affects the cooking at all. 2. They a good looking. 3. They are very non stick. I make eggs almost every day with just a spray of EVOO and they are amazing. (I don’t use the kind that has propellant in it or any added ingredients. Just straight olive oil or avocado oil). 4. They heat up quickly (and do follow the directions…do not crank the heat up to high to heat them). These are for low, medium and med-high heat cooking. And you don’t need to use the high heat. Just start on medium and they heat quickly. 5. Clean up is a dream. I do not put these in the dishwasher. I hand wash and it is a breeze to do. I use a tiny bit of dish soap and a scrub daddy. Very easy. TIP: Don’t put the pan in the sink with water right after you turn off the heat. Allow the pan to cool on the stove before washing. Cons: The only complaint I think someone might have is that they are very light weight. I love this feature as my other pans were really heavy and I hated that. But someone who has used heavier cookware may think these to be low quality or cheap or not durable. And who knows? If you are hard on the cookware, maybe these would not hold up. But for me, they are perfect. I hope this helps. Good luck!

This is an amazing cookware set, especially for someone like myself who just got a new place. It really does come with a complete set. Nothing is missing here. I did give these a try over the last week. The non-stick performance really stood up to the test. The construction is durable. They are very easy to wash and are dishwasher safe which is perfect. Overall, I would highly recommend this.
