The bottomless (naked) portafilter allows the barista to view any problems that may be occurring during the espresso extraction. The barista would know immediately if channeling occurs making them aware that a level tamp was not made. Watching an extraction from a bottomless portafilter vividly shows the barista how the extraction is progressing and makes them aware of what changes are needed to be made to achieve the perfect extraction. Included with the portailter is a 21 gram triple insert basket
