Nice sock loom
The product came in on time and as described. Well made looks simple to use.. this was a purchase for my husband who loans and wanted to try this sock loom. I will revise the video once someone’s made socks on it and let you know how it goes.

warm tootsies!
This is well made and the instructions are "alright" but the real boon is the DVD that comes with it. I kept it in the player for the first two socks and would play it step by step as I went along. Now that I have the concept it is easy to adapt to other patterns -- for example those in the book I bought at the same time. And that DVD will come in handy again in a few months when I decide to do more projects and need a quick refresher. What is also good, I think, (if I can successfully do it) is that I can use this loom to make the ribbed cuff (top down) pretty easy. Then Transfer the stitches on to DPNs. I just get all tangled up when I try to use dpns, and because the loom makes those first rows so eay I can see it giving me a great frustration free head start. I may even try out some of those plastic knobby looking things as this turned out so well. I am almost done with my second pair of scrappy socks and I made a xmas varigated sock for the fireplace. Cool.

sock loom with dvd
I read the reviews before I bought this sock loom and negatives because there is no DVD with it as advertised. Well, there really IS NO DVD with the loom. HOWEVER, if you buy the "Sock Loom Basics" by Leisure Arts it comes with a DVD. I'm a knitter, a spinner, and a weaver but this little loom is quite different from my others. For that reason I purchased the sock loom and the book at the same time. Thank heavens I did. The instructions that do come with the loom are not that good. The book is a great inexpensive instruction and idea book and it does have the DVD so all is well. It would be a good thing if Amazon would make some sort of notation on loom info about the absence of the DVD packaged with the loom. There were many reviews complaining about the DVD not coming with the loom. Good loom & good book.

it's ok
It took a long time for me to actually purchase one of these because I didn't need it, just wanted it. I had yet to finish knitting a pair of socks because I don't like using dp needles. This seemed the solution for a faster and easier way. Well it is not proving to be either faster or easier. The loom itself seems to be well made and strong. And the DVD had adequate instructions. But I am finding it very hard to use. My tension is much too tight and I need a surface to lay the loom on to use it. It is possible that I just have to master the learning curve, but frustrating none the less. So hard to say if I am the problem, or if the product. Perhaps a little of both.

Easy to use after looking up video instructions
If you've never used a knitting loom before, YouTube is your friend! The product itself seems sturdy and put together we'll. I love that it's adjustable. I got this to make socks for my toddler so being able to produce a variety of sizes is a necessity! I found that the written instructions for use were a little difficult to follow and YouTube got me where I needed to be. The manufacturer of this knitting board has plenty of instructional videos to follow. I think the handle for knitting tool could be a tad longer but no big deal, I'll just see if I can find one that meets my needs.

Sock Knitters Rejoice!
This is an absolutly great knitting loom. You are not restricted to just socks either. You could knit a scarf on this loom, too. The only thing I have trouble with is the small pins are not as easy to see and knit as the larger looms are. But if I start fresh in the morning and knit for a short time, I don't have as much trouble. That said, I love this loom. It is sooooo much easier than 4 or 5 needles. I have always wanted to knit socks, and now I can! It takes a little getting use to, but it is well worth the time and effort. As my mother used to say, "Practice makes Perfect!", and she was right!

Looney Loom that actually solved my sock knitting problems!!
A tricky beginning but once you have the hang of it...You'll be pumping out socks left and right! I purchased this item because I have a mental block about sock gussets and heel turning...I'm an avid knitter and can read any pattern...but I swear I have this thing about socks? I tried this and all I can say is it works! I'm not sure if it's faster than knitting by hand..because you are dealing with very thin yarn and the hook used to pull that yarn over takes concentration....where if you knit by hand you don't have to look 1/2 the time! ...lol... That being said...I LOVE this loom! As fore mentioned in another feedback review I think I won't ever buy socks again...because I can custom make my own...Cashmere yarn...Silk Bamboo yarn...Super fine Merino wool yarn...the list goes on and on...ENJOY!

Like it, but Love it, not so much......
I only gave a 4, as to work on this is tedious to say the least..For folks that have a a lot of patience for a slow going project, it's great...But I guess I don't have the time to give to it..I have a crochet pattern for socks using sock yarn that goes a much faster then the loom. I do have a sock started but only will work on it when time allows..One needs to be so careful in dropping a stitch & it does take practice to work the heel..I like the look of a knitted sock but alas, cannot get how to do a turned heel..So bought the loom thinking I could get the "look" from that..Toooooooo much time involved...I realize some people can work faster on a loom, but I'm not one of them..lol... If you like slow, this is the project for you...

Vorsicht, suchtgefahr! ;)
