How to Draw without Talent

This book (and class) opened up a whole new world for me...awesome on-going adventure!
I pre-ordered this book as soon as Danny announced he had written it and when it was available on Amazon. I took his online class with the same name in the Sketchbook Skool classroom. Great class, great book. I can draw which was something I only dreamt of before taking his class. Danny is one of my favorite authors. I own several of his books and have never been disappointed. If you want to draw and don’t think you can, do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a brand new adventure that will open up a whole new world for you, truly.

Ultimate coaching partner in creating your art making practice
All the research shows that we all have innate need to create. However our culture told us for centuries we need to have talent in order to art make, so we don't give ourselves permission to create art.Danny Gregory helps us take the scientific fact (we all can create art) into daily practice through this simple guide. Do yourself a favor, take him up on this, let him help you foster an art making practice... Outcomes will surprise you. I don't mean you will create next Mona Lisa. Art making will positively impact your life in many ways...

A Most Engaging Little Course that Everyone Who Wants to Draw Should Take
HOW TO DRAW WITHOUT TALENT is a wonderfully engaging course that is perfect for anyone who wants to gain more confidence in their ability to draw. It's clear and direct, with a ton of helpful exercises to delight and engage the reader. Mr. Gregory covers the basics and teaches how to play with your art as you hone your skills, no matter the level of proficiency you start with. I would say if you are anywhere from beginning to intermediate in skills, this book belongs on your shelf, and you should be dipping into it regularly to help you build a great habit. All in all, this is an excellent resource for intermediate artists and a must-have for folks who would like to become artists but don't know where to begin.

It's just what I needed . . .
I'd call this 'a jump-start' book; it's casual and lighthearted which takes away a lot of the stress and self-doubt that always seem to accompany learning a new skill such as drawing.

MY kind of art book!
I have been told I am creative, but not artistic. I wish I could be both! So as someone who cannot draw AT ALL, I decided to get this book. Now I haven't used it much yet, but I did go through the book to see if it was worth keeping and see if I thought it would help at all. I thought the exercises were great! Many of the other books I got to help me, were not for people like me. They assumed you could really SEE the things I cannot see, like perspective.. But this starts a couple of steps below the others. One college art teacher, who taught art for the elementary teacher said that kids would develop natural artistic skills when not blocked by a bad art teacher. He picked up my "drawing in progress" and showed the class and said I had gotten stopped about the 2nd grade level! So these exercises seem to pick up where the art teacher left off.. I recommend it for stunted art students like me!

Another good drawing book to add to my library
I’ve read 3 books by Danny and I’ve learned the very basics of drawing from him. I’m also a student of sketchbook skool and this book gave more details to help me out on drawing journey.

Much smaller book than expected
Honestly this is a pointless book - buy The Creative License by the same author as that has all these ideas in the book already. It's like his ideas got recycled. Though I do enjoy the exercises and the author's illustrations are very cool.
