On careful reading many much more expensive knives included reviews indicating questionable value and questionable sellers.I confess that I picked this knife in part on the price. I could certainly afford to absorb the loss if it was a dud or arrived in less than pristine condition. It arrive VERY sharp, solid construction, new, well balanced, very usable. I've only had it a few weeks, so the jury is still out and I have yet to have to sharpen it to determine how well that process works but it has been the exact multi purpose knife that I needed and wanted. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This knife is impressive *by T***. on March 18, 2020* I purchased this knife during Amazon day. Thought I'd take a chance on it. It's been one of the best purchases through Amazon yet! Previously I had a large chef knife as my major work horse for home cooking. I've since retired in favor of this knife. It's sharp out of the box, easy to handle, fairly well balanced. It reduced a lot of the effort involved in prep compared to using the larger knife. Handle workmanship needs some work. There is a 1 mm gap on one side of the handle at the heal. Pretty nice blade and quite nimble. Not the most comfortable handle but I’ve used worse.
