Good latch
Pretty good latch. Hope the stainless steel is of good quality due to living on the coast. As others have mentioned they are kind of sloppy. This can easily be remedied by putting them in a vise and adjusting. In the picture I have attached the one in the center is how they arrived. The ones on the left and right are after I adjusted them.

This looks like it will hold up a lot better than the painted steel, and it comes with high quality stainless steel screws.

This works
I moved into a new place and the gate latch looked similar to this one, but the gate constantly popped open and let the dogs out. I searched for a better option and found this gate latch. My gate is secure and no longer pops open. I did screw the base into the wooden gate. it is very secure. Finally.

Feels rugged
Easy install on my gate fence. Stainless steel is nice.

Nice Latch
Purchased this latch for my new gate construction and it installed easily and works great. I did see them in HD after my order was placed for about the same price. If, and its a big if, I could count on HD having what I wanted I would have bought these locally.

It fixed my gate but it's a cheap knock-off
The price was right at $5.99 so I took a chance on this thing. It fixed my gate, but the receiver part seems very lightweight and flimsy so I just kept using the original galvanized receiver from the non-adjustable gate latch it was replacing. And it works great. The stainless screws that came with it seem good too. However, it appears to be a knock-off of the National Hardware MaxLatch. If I was going to do it again, I'd buy that one instead.
