UltraGuard Plus Cat Flea & Tick Spray, 8 oz

This is a great spray for your HOUSE. The number of people who have used this on their pets is concerning - this isn't for pets. This got rid of fleas in our home quickly, in combination with pet-safe flea treatment on our pets. The smell is pleasant, though as many have said, the nozzle does leak when you spray it. The size is more than enough - I used it on all of our carpets and furniture for 3 days in a row and still have over half a bottle left.

works well, great value, getting the cat to sit still is another story. We usually put it on a comb and comb the cat it seems to make it easier. It does take care of the fleas, but multiple applications are needed. Great value compared to others. The product did not show any irritation on my cat.

This shampoo lathers nicely and leaves my dog’s coat clean and soft. It helps with fleas without irritating his skin, which I appreciate. Small downside: You do need to let it sit a few minutes to work best. Good option for bath days.

I did a test and caught a flea from my cats. I tried to spray lightly like how the instructions said. It doesn’t kill the flea, minimal effect cuz it’s still jumping. You have to soak the flea in the spray liquid to kill it immediately. But that’s not possible with spraying the cats, it basically means you have to “shower” the cats with the spray to kill them. Smell nice and no side effects for my cats tho.

I recently used the Hartz UltraGuard Plus Flea & Tick Home Spray just in case, as a dog that visited my house had fleas. I was really impressed with how well it worked! It has a nice, clean fresh scent that doesn’t smell like harsh chemicals, which was a big plus for me. The spray is easy to apply and gave me peace of mind knowing it was killing fleas and ticks in the house. It’s a great product to have on hand for unexpected situations, and I’d definitely recommend it if you want a pleasant-smelling spray that gets the job done without any strong chemical odors.

I bought this spray to use in addition to another flea product (drops applied to the dog's shoulder). I would not recommend using this spray as your only treatment, it should be used in addition to a flea and tick product. The bottle states to use 25-35 sprays for a small dog. My tiny chihuahua was thoroughly wet after 15 sprays or so, but my (much larger) lab required a good 40 or 50 sprays total. I used up about half the bottle between my two dogs. It smells strong, so use in a well ventilated area, or outdoors. Not too badly chemical, just very perfumey. It does help remove fleas - immediately after spraying my dog I could see them crawling out of his fur - and you have to comb your dog's fur after to get the fleas off. It took me roughly two hours of spraying and combing to remove most (if not all) of the visible fleas. I didn't find any ticks on my dogs, and ticks are not relly found in the city where I live, so I can't rate its effectiveness against ticks. However it is useful against fleas, and I followed up with a bath, my dogs have been flea-free so far. This spray is also great for use on the carpet and on pet's bedding. The bottle instructs you to spray bedding/floor/etc until damp and let dry. The main active ingredients in this product are insect growth regulators, which helps prevent flea eggs from hatching. You will still need a product to kill live fleas and ticks. Very pleased that it didn't leave any stains on the rug, so I was able to spray the dog's bedding and the surrounding area really well. I'd be amazed if it lived up to its' claims and actually provides protection for 7 months, but if you're actively fighting an infestation this spray makes a difference. It stops flea eggs from hatching and interrupts fleas from being able to lay eggs, which is good because less eggs = less fleas!

I sprayed my 10 year old adult cat, who up until now has never had fleas, to try and get rid of the few he seemed to have. I followed the instructions spraying his entire coat and rubbing it in...even though he was not happy about the process. For the next two days my cat's coat looked terrible...like he had rolled in oil and syrup and he was very distressed. He was still scratching so I decided to spray him again even more thoroughly than the first time. I don't know if it's the smell he objects too, and I would not blame him, or what, but he would not come near me and spent most of today hiding, which is very unlike him. He even pooped outside of his liter box. I got the message....he is pi**ed. His coat still looks and smells like crap too. He seems lost and confused and is not his normal self. He has been crying a lot which I am assuming has a lot to do with the smell which he cannot get away from. I ordered a flea brush yesterday, which came today - thank you Amazon, and found multiple fleas in his coat. But I absolutely will not subject him to that torturous experience again. Especially since it appears it's not very effective. In the end this was a very failed experience for my cat and myself. There is no way I could possibly recommend this product. I am sure other cats might not react like he did, but if you care about your cat's well being, I would find another product. I am going to call the vet on Monday to get their recommendation...possibly something he can take to kill and prevent fleas.

كان المنتج في السابق يعمل بشكل جيد اما الان فقد خفت جودته وزاد سعره واصبح مثل اي منتج ضعيف فقد وضعته على القطط حسب الوصف بعد ان لاحظت وجود بعض الحشرات وراقبتهم لمدة يومين ولاحظت انه مازال يوجد حشرات متشبثه بجلد القطط اما في السابق فكان بمجرد ان يتم الرش فانه يقضي على جميع الحشرات في غضون دقائق
