Since we have a salt water chlorine generator, we had to alter the device to fit our plumbing system by putting an on-off valve just after the chlorine generator. It is a nice device to add hot water to your pool. One does need a lot of hot sun on the poly pipe, and a lot of pipe (not included), for several hours to get consistent hot water, and several days of hot weather to raise the temperature of the pool water. We purchased 25 feet of poly pipe, which really does not heat up the pool, but it helps. We usually have to fill the pipe with water, let it heat up, then turn on the pump and circulate the hot water into the pool. The water entering the pool cools down pretty fast, except on hot days. When we have 90 degree weather, the hot water, entering the pool, continues all day at a slow trickle, regulated by the valve we added. It helps defer the cold water shock when getting into the pool, and lessens the body's adapt time. I like 80-90 degrees F for swimming. This device may work better on a smaller pool, or with additional poly pipe. For a short time, we added a small solar collecting device, but there wasn't any big difference so I returned the solar device. 4 stars- as we had to alter it for our pool, and it is the device needed to start adding solar heated water to the pool - but much more is needed to bring the temperature up to acomfortable level. On the pictures below, the third pic shows the poly pipe disconnected and rolled up ,so we can mow the lawn. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worked like a charm *by D***S on Reviewed in the United States on June 26, 2015* Worked like a charm, except I had a 1/2 poly pipe..
