Exactly as advertised: Beware, carbs on steroids
This product is 1) more expensive than the national brand it replaces 2)neatly boxed for food service and 3) the engery equivalent to table sugar. Diabetic users: BEWARE! Table sugar will not jack up your blood glucose so quickly. Table sugar GI index 100. Maltodextrine: 135! And, maltodextrine (malt, a sugar created from statch and dextrin, a starch made easy to digest by spray application of acid) is a high processed product, very easy to digest, and, it is equal in engery provision to both corn statch and beef, that is 4 calories per gram. Only it's already been digested for you. Useful to treat hypoglycemic emergencies, it is not acceptable otherwise. Unless one likes to constantly fight for stable control of the situation, it cannot be a sugar replacement. Try instead NO sweet at all, and make all your carbohydrate from whole grains and unpeeled vegetables and fruit.I am grateful to the reviewers who have pointed this out. Maltodextrine and Aspartame are both carbohydrate, but not any form we could get without man tinkering in our food supply. Thank you all. Your honesty has helped save a life.

Almost like Equal
It takes 12 packages of Equal to sweeten my pitcher of tea. It takes 15 packs of the Cafe Delight to do the same job. The taste seems to be a little bit different, but I don't have any Equal on hand to do a taste test..
