Thanks.** A: The Lutron DVCL 153 dimmer will dim up to 150 watts if the switch is in a box by itself. (less if it is next to other switches) Of that I would use a maximum of 90% (135W) These lights draw 12 Watts each so you could safely use 10-11 lights on the switch. **Q: My whole cut for my halogen fixture is 2 1/4". Will these fit** A: Measured 2 5/8" outside diameter for mine, purchased Jan. 2016. The screw on lens cap is about 1/2 or 5/8 inches tall, but there's not much need to remove it after it's installed. **Q: Can we install them inside the cabinets? Can they be recessed?** A: Yes on both. I put them in place of installed halogen bulbs that burnt out every 3 months (@ $8*3 a pop for years!) & created a ton of heat. These are so much better. I took the plastic cover off & they fit perfect. Very snug & look great. Just had to rewire to original wires & worked prefect with wall switch. Pretty sure all you need is a 2" or 2 1/2" bit, Mark & drill. I think mine were plug in but I hard wired them just fine. **Q: Are these UL listed?** A: I do not know if they are UL approved. I had an electrician install them. They work well ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Not "really" Dimmable *by J***L on Reviewed in the United States on May 31, 2016* They do flicker although at full bright, not that noticeable. I bought these because they said they are dimmable: THEY ARE NOT. Yeah, they might dim but the flicker is so noticeable that it's not worth it.Here's my story:Bought because I really wanted dimmable under cabinet lights. So, I pre-wired everything and bought special dimmers for LED's from Home Depot (Lutron Model # TGCL-153PH-WH). Needed two, so there goes $48. Well, they worked but there was a perceptible flicker when dimmed. I noticed that the manufacturer recommended specific dimmers in their documentation (not in the online description). So I contacted the manufacturer via e-mail for the lights and explained my predicament. The tech got back to me and recommended two other dimmers that were more updated than what was listed on documentation. So, I found the ones recommended and purchased them. There goes another $50 on switches. Same issue, flicker flicker flicker. Ultimately, I took out the various dimmers altogether and installed standard on/off switches. Full power Rudolph! lol As I said earlier, they don't look bad at full power.The lesson learned: There are varying degrees of quality LED lights. I learned that there will always be some flicker because of the nature of AC power (on/off real fast). We don't see it in the old style bulbs because of the latent filament burn between bursts of power. Different LED manufactures compensate for this by varying methods (too technical for me). Basically, the lower the quality, the more perceived flicker. I tend to be pretty sensitive to LED flicker so am probably more annoyed than most. I see these flicker. If I hadn't cut the switch off so I could hard wire them, I would return them. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Flexible spacing between line-voltage puck lights *by D***4 on Reviewed in the United States on January 30, 2016* All three puck lights have a 12 inch cord with a detachable link, connected at each end and the middle a single '6 foot extension cord'. Maximum of 55 inches between center of two pucks when stretched away from each other, then the last puck is 30 inches away from that (or space pucks evenly at 36 inches). A small phillips head is needed for the mounting screws. One minor issue: The lens cover does not twist lock into the housing tightly, but once installed they're fine. Lens is a frosted glass diffuser. Light takes one second to come on after throwing the switch. Page 2 of the included instructions might be listing the number of pucks you can hook up on the circuit, from one to six (see photo). Product would be improved with a 90-degree angled plug. The extension cord could be improved by breaking it into three separate components that can be connected sequentially, each with a 36 inch cord wired directly to the puck with a link to the next set in the line. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Comment section confusion *by D***R on Reviewed in the United States on October 12, 2021* After looking far and wide, I selected these lights because I felt that they were suitable to my needs. I needed LED lighting that I could install in my new range hood which had a single incandescent bulb and did not illuminate my range top. I checked the comments, and at some point I found a comment that said it was from the seller. It stated that I could cut the wires and hardwire this lighting. So I made the purchase, hardwired two pucks into my existing range wiring system, which was controlled by a rocker switch not unsimilar to the switch that was provided by the manufacturer. After a single day one of the pucks stopped working. I contacted the seller and told them what had happened. They asked me if I had cut the wires, which I responded - "yes". They said that voids the warranty. I had gone back and checked the comments where I did find under the comment section questions that were asked similar to mine about cutting the wires. Somebody, who was identified as the seller, responded "Yes". After this I contacted Amazon. Amazon said that they would exchange them out and then within 24 hours sent me an email saying that they weren't going to help at all. It's been 4 weeks and the LED light puck, that was installed, has not burned ou. It is still working, which tells me that the other one was defective. Seller won't help - Amazon won't help - highly disappointed with both.
