Support and relief for thumb and wrist
Ordered for support for de Quervain's tenosynovitis - much easier to get through my day with my thumb supported and immobilized. Immediate pain relief, as long as I let the brace do its job and don't try using my thumb. Fits and adjusts easily to support my thumb and wrist well. Supports bettter than just a wrist brace for my issue. Solid quality - sturdy and not flimsy or too light. My only gripe would be that it can be hard to velcro the wrist strap part because it hurts to turn my wrist, but that's only momentary and it's specific to my issue so probably wouldn't bother anyone else!

Thumb & Wrist Stabilizer
Good wrist brace, fits good & and is very comfortable. Measure according to the directions before you buy.

Great Choice
Very comfortable, soft inside. Very good stability. Less one star as fabric edges could fray.

Help with carpal tunnel syndrome
This product helps me a great deal with my carpal tunnel syndrome; I wear it at night while sleeping, and it provides significant pain relief. I have been using it for a long time—I buy a new one whenever the old one wears out—and for that reason, I highly recommend it; it is a tremendous help.

Great product
Very nice, easy to place (on either hand) and soft support. Doesn't get "sweaty," nice and light but still gives good support.

Provides good stability but gets quite uncomfortable over time
I waffled between three and four stars. It does what it's supposed to do in terms of immobilizing the thumb. The two big cons: (1) It's not holding up well. It's got fuzzy bits all over the edges as they fray and (2) it started getting very uncomfortable and actually causing pain over lengthy wearing. I had to keep my thumb splinted for a few weeks, and it started rubbing my wrist raw and I had to start taking it off to get relief. At the same time, my thumb would be okay for a bit after removing the splint but would quickly flare up in pain again, demonstrating how well it was working to keep the pain at bay. Be forewarned you may need to wrap something around your wrist if wearing long term to protect against friction. Same thing with the little loop of fabric that your thumb goes in - it bunches up over time and starts cutting into the hand.

This is the one you want for De Quervain's syndrome EDIT - . . . I was sent a USED brace :(
I have De Quervain's syndrome in my dominant hand and it's caused a lot of problems for me. My doctor told me to get a thumb spica splint and I did, in fact, I bought 3 all from Amazon. Thumb Spica #1 - Super restrictive. Didn't open completely, you have to force your hand from the bottom to get it on and that was not only painful, it also seemed like it aggravated the issue - FAIL Thumb Spica #2 - Similar to this one. Opened all the way, so was easy to get on, but was hard to get the pressure tight and it the stabilizers hurt a lot when you moved your thumb outward because they put pressure RIGHT on the injured tendon - FAIL Thumb Spica # 3 - This one from Dr.Welland. The least expensive one, opened all the way up the side, easy to get on, very comfortable and doesn't aggravate the tendon - WINNER This works for De Quervain's syndrome and I am ordering a second one, cannot recommend it enough. EDIT - I noticed that my dogs had a keen interest in this brace and would aggressively sniff it. While I didn't think much about it at first, it became clear something was up, because they couldn't care less about other braces I had purchased. I smelled the brace myself, which clearly had been worn by someone wearing perfume, but that's not where my dogs were sniffing it, they were interested in the palm side, I have to believe that the person who wore it and returned it, prior to it being sent to me, also had dogs and my dogs were picking up on that. While this is a good brace, it's not the first Amazon sent to me that was returned, I received another product that had a handwritten note inside that said that they had returned the item because it was clearly used and that I was at LEAST the 3rd recipient. I returned that item with the note tucked back inside for the next person to receive it.

Very useful aid for soreness in the wrist or thumb
It makes a big difference in my wrist. Controls my pain due to lesser bone density in this area. Easier to wash my hand due to the design.

Pleasantly Suprised! Great fit on tiny hand.
After reading a ton of reviews on the many different thumb and wrist supports available on Amazon I decided to go with a cheap one just to try it out. I wasn't expecting such a great fit! I have tiny hands and wrists (ie I buy children's watches and my ring finger is a size 4.5). But this splint in size small/medium gives me a snug and supportive fit on both my wrist AND my thumb. Both of the velcro straps are highly adjustable and cinch up smaller than i anticipated. The hard plastic support strips inside the fabric on either side of the thumb can be easily bent to contour where needed providing even more firm support. The fabric on the inside is soft and comfortable, not itchy at all. It kind of looks/feels like a slightly stretchy cross between foam and felt with ventilation holes. Significantly reduces the pain in my lower thumb joint and the wrist bone/joimg directly below it. Immobilizes my thumb enough to provide good pain relief while still allowing me to do fairly fine motor tasks (like seed beading) with the rest of my fingers (the splint is on my non dominant hand for reference). For less than $10 this is a fantastic product. I can't speak to durability yet as I have only been wearing it a few hours. But based on initial fit, feel and quality it has already exceeded my expectations by far!
