Air Lift 16060 Air Compressor silver, 12V

Works well! This was purchased to replace a compressor no longer working in my camper van for the rear air bags. My mechanic said it was easy to install and worked well.

Used to lift my lowered 70 Vw Beetle, works great for on demand air.

With the old compressor installed the 15A fuse was blowing again and again. This solved that issue and it took maybe 5 minutes to get this thing mounted and wired up. Worked right out of the box. Couldn't ask for an easier install

So I installed some Firestone airbags and did a dual path to two manual paddle switches (less to fail and easier to wire) and a dual needle 160 psi airhorn gauge. I even got a sheet of dynamat xtreme sound dampening and took this apart and installed it on the whole inner surface of the enclosure as well as on parts of the pump not finned for cooling. I used 1/4" x 20 bolts with rubber grommets at both sides of the plastic to dampen as much as possible too. Though to be fair, the only place I could find inside the truck to mount was under the steering wheel. I had to fab up a bracket and supports and also put dynamat on those but my compressor is in clean air and won't ever get wet unless I sink the truck. I used a momentary switch to trigger a relay to power the compressor with a wire that has a fuse inches from a battery. The air out is hooked to a Tee that goes to the two paddle switches that go to the airbags with the momentary switch mounted above the paddles an inch or two. I can press the paddles and then trigger the switch and it will fill the bags just fine. If I press the switch first it will just pressurize the lines first but seeing as the compressor is rated at 100 psi max I do it simultaneously or paddles first to save on the air compressor. I also put a one way check valve after the compressor with a Tee after that with a schrader valve, that way if the compressor dies I can remove it and still use a regular tire inflator to inflate the bags with no issue. So 4 stars because it is somewhat loud even after taking plenty of measures to quiet it down and I had to mount it inside to keep it out of the elements as it is not sealed at all, nor filtered at all. Definitely do not mount it under a truck as one good rain storm and it's likely to get the motor wet. Also if you use it when on a dusty road it will suck all that through the motor and piston and into your airbag system. Under the hood is next best but still it gets dirty and dusty and hot under there too and possibly wet. In the cab is the best place, but then you have the noise to deal with.

This is my second compressor as the first one quit working after 3 years. It was an easy fix and a reasonable cost to replace. The Air Lift system is a game changer for towing my atv on the trailer with the F-150.

Works as the original. Uses the same remote. The self tapping screws didn't work. The self tapping part made to large a hole the threads couldn't tighten.

Er erfüllt auf alle Fälle seinen Zweck. Der Motor ist etwas laut aber da nicht in Dauerbetrieb ist es nicht störend. Bis 3 bar geht es sehr schnell ab 3 bar wird es langsamer aber immer noch ok.

It was to replace a old compressor from one of air lift kits. Plugged right in and worked perfect.

Reasonably priced replacement for same unit which broke down...after many years of exposure to dirt, water ,and snow.
