These are good, makes a cup of coffee as good as the shop bought
These pods are good, make a cup of coffee as good as the store bought variety. I find a smaller cup is better than a larger one as it is less dilute. If you like to put milk in your coffee, syrups, cream etc. the pods will still provide a good flavour, my colleagues who do like to take their coffee other than black have told me so.The film lid of each pod is not too taught or slack as to make piercing of the pod difficult for any dulce gusto machine. No fragments of the film lid make their way into the cup of coffee when the water is channeled through it by the machine.Unfortunately the pods can wind up containing a lot of water which has not passed through into the cup and needs to be released from the pod either by pressing them to drain it or leaving them in a sink or cup do drip drain. I dont know any pods which do not do this so it is not a unique complaint about these pods.Flavour is good, consistency of the coffee poured is good too and it does produce a pleasant aroma when pouring. The pods are all able to keep the grounds fresh and are easy to store or transport. They are all contained within a thin cardboard box which opens along perforations, it works fine for storage or transport purposes.

Nice cup of coffee
Finding it difficult to find in the supermarkets at the moment, good old Amazon to the rescue! Slightly more than supermarket prices, but worth the extra pennies. Brilliant for my daily coffee fix, lovely flavour, & much cheaper than buying from Costa's.

Real cheap. Not a Costa.
I thought I'd try these as they were kind of cheap at the time. These are ok if you have them as prescribed; IE with 4 bars of water, though its more espresso shot than Americano. Not a very long drink and no way as strong. The original dolce gusto are Americano and the Starbucks Americano are probably the best ones to go for. Try then, give these a miss.No issues with seller, fast delivery, good communication.

Ordered the wrong ones
I ordered the wrong ones. I intended to buy the espresso's so I could use my own almond milk. Instead I ordered the Americano. I can't personally use them due to special dietary needs but guests can so I kept them. There are quite a number of pods in the boxes so that is good value for money. I can't comment on the taste and freshess other than my guest said the one they had was nice and fresh. I know that the espresso's I bought last time were really nice and very fresh.

DON'T BUY THESE
Trust me when I say this, DON'T BUY THESE.I have persevered for over a year with these, only because I love the coffee, but the time has come to accept defeat. Why 1 Star? Because I can't give Zero. Why am I so anti?Because after suffering with them for over a year and even complaining directly to Costa (who did provide some compensation), they still have not 'fixed' a pretty egregious issue with the pods.I, like many, own a DëLonghi Dolce Gusto coffee machine and it works like a dream, with all pods made for it....Except these Costa pods.I have ordered 2 x 3 boxes 16 times now and with only a few exceptions, these boxes had 10-50% of the pods that when used have failed. How do they fail?Either they spray the coffee and grains out from the top of pods (which duly goes everywhere except the cup), or, more commonly, they simply just fill with high pressure water until the pump in the machine overloads and shuts off. The latter being worse because releasing that pressure is not for the faint hearted. So now, I give up, because frankly, why should I pay for (on average) 30% of the pods that I never get to use because they fail?So take my advice and steer well clear of these pods. I went through a year of pain so you don't have to.

Great coffee shame about the pods
The coffee tastes fantastic. I prefer the flavour to that of any of the official Dolce Gusto blends. However, the pods leak. If anything rather than reacting to customer feedback & trying to fix the problem if seems to be getting worse. My first order had just two of three pods that leak. My latest order had at least a third, if not more, of the pods leaking.I won't be ordering more, they are just not economical with such a high percentage of failures.

Costa coffee that doesn't Costa arm and a leg
I waited until I'd used almost all of them before writing this because I'd seen some comments about pods bursting and poor quality and I wanted to review as a 'whole' deliveryThe pods are a bit proud on the cover part so the lid on the pod cartridge needs pushing hard to close. None have burst they taste great and I am very happy with them and have placed another order as I'm down to my last few days of remaining pods.
