It was an Oregon brand 198-049 that I discovered had all all four corners worn off and the blade's curved upward air lifts were CRACKED. It had to go as I could see this becoming a serious safety hazard if I used it any further. My new Maxpower blade, used the same amount of time, still has a decent edge on it ,did not need sharpening yet and was neither worn down or cracked. Yeah, it cost a little more but has turned out to be worth every cent of it's purchase price thus far.
