Good replacement
When my original aeration pump failed, I was shocked to find the cost was nearly that of the full system. After some research, I picked this pump. It is smaller dimensionally and required some creative engineering to fit into the old box and connect to the distribution piping, but not terrible. Picked up a few pipe fittings and modified the old plumbing. My main complaint is the use of 1/4" 24 threads in the base - it is nearly impossible to find these threads on bolts today. The pump is working very well after two weeks of continuous operation. It is actually quieter than the original pump. I am very satisfied with it.

Pump failed after 14 months
Purchased this pump in Aug 2024 to replace a previous version of this same pump originally purchased in 2020 as part of a stock pond aeration kit as the diaphragms had worn out and replacement parts could not be found. The motor on this pump burned out after 14 months. I had kept the 2020 pump and attempted to re-use the diaphragms from pump, but the design had changed and was not backward compatible. This newer pump seemed to be built with cheaper parts and less durable than the prior pump. I will no longer buy from this brand. Swapped out to a Hiblow pump like what is used on my septic system, which is re-buildable and has parts readily available.

Great experience!
Overall very happy with the aerator pump. I had an issue with the pump being a little loud after a couple months. I informed them of the situation. They sent a new one immediately. The aerator pump helped make a remarkable improvement to my pond that’s was overrun with duckweed. In my experience their customer service was very help and prompt. I would buy again without question.

Much better than the original single cylinder pump I got with my aerator kit
Bought an aerator kit with the single cylinder compressor kit and fought with the pump for a year before giving up and order this one. First - it's MUCH quieter than the small single pump (which it looks a lot like). I went ahead and zip tied all the wiring to fixed parts of the motor so it wouldn't vibrate (which is what destroyed the wiring harness in the smaller pump) - not totally sure that was necessary since this pump has much less vibration overall.

Extremely impressed
I have purchased a hand full of different aerators and this one has surpassed my expectations. It has been through two winters already. Last spring during the thaw we got a large rain that actually submerged my unit. I took it out dried it completely and it has actually held up for the following winter with no issues. I am extremely happy with the product and actually purchased a second one for a relative.

Quiet Power - Failed After a Year
Edit: this pump motor failed after a year. I contacted the seller and started down the run-around replacement path but it didn’t seem like anyone cared about troubleshooting the actual issue-they wanted me to send pictures and they outlasted my willingness to screw around with a week in between unhelpful emails. I’ll keep trying to find a solution elsewhere. Original review…. I bought this pump to replace a previous compressor pump that we had been using for about three years to aerate our pond. The prior pump worked well but I found that I needed to rebuild it about every 12 months. Before I could rebuild it the last time, it failed and I don’t know enough about motors to try and fix it so I just replaced it. What I didn’t expect is how much more powerful and, most importantly, how much quieter this pump would be. I have the pump in an enclosure on the backside of our pond. The prior pump was definitely audible anywhere in the vicinity of the pond. This pump is so quiet that you have to be fairly close to the enclosure to even hear it. It seems to be doing a great job and I will update this review as time goes on but I am thrilled so far at the two month mark.
