Amazing goop! But watch out
This has been such a great fix. Went on very easily and leaks have completely disappeared. However, be very careful applying this. I spilled some and didn’t get it cleaned up right away and now cannot get it off my floor. Even a putty knife didn’t work. As long as you pay attention, great value!

No leaks first run.
The media could not be loaded. This stuff works great! I used it on 2" schedule 40 Air line with multiple connection. Not one leaked where I used Tru-Blu.

Forget teflon tape
I've been using teflon tape forever but I've just always had mixed results with it. It can work great sometimes but you have to be pretty exact with how you apply it to threads and in alot of high pressure water line situations, especially at piping close to the water source, you'll get tiny leaks with it even if you thread it in the correct direction etc.I had a situation recently where I was adding a new water line and attaching a female to female coupling to another adaptor to connect a hose spigot with a 3/4" male end to a hose outlet with a 1/2" female. Using all of these intermediary line couplings made more areas at risk for water to leak. No matter how many times I retaped all the connections with teflon, replaced and reseated the rubber washer, tightened with a wrench almost to the point of no return etc... I could just not get these connections to stop shedding water once I turned the main water supply back on. I was about to jump off a bridge.I know that you're not supposed to use any thread sealant with garden hose threads because of the rubber washer blah blah but the washer alone just wasn't cutting it. The washer alone simply wasn't compressing all of the water out and that water was still traveling up the threads after the rubber washer interface.I swapped out the teflon for this liquid thread sealant and finally got a water tight seal across both the coupler and adaptor interfaces. Thank god.Don't listen to anyone's advice. You can use thread sealant on garden hoses and might need to in some situations even with that internal washer. If you've got leaky hose connections and a new washer gasket in there still doesn't do the trick, forget teflon tape and just get this stuff. Easier to apply and works 1000x times better at blocking all the water than teflon tape.

This stuff is great. Not a single leaky connection.
I've been plumbing a darkroom and have been using this on all the metal 1/2 and 3/4 pipe fittings. Not a single drip or leak!

What have I been doing?
This stuff's great. I don't even bother with PTFE tape on air fittings anymore. On water fittings, I double up, maybe 2 wraps of tape then a coat of this. Leaks are over. I'm not stressing over cheap fittings anymore, and this bottle will last the home-gamer for probably a decade. Definitely worth it.

Worked way better than teflon tape
The flexible hose connections on my water heater started leaking - also the isolation valve was seized in the open position.I added a new valve but had difficulty getting the 1" FIP fittings to seal with teflon tape.I bought the blue Rectorseal compound - cleaned up the threads thoroughly - applied the compound to the threads and tightened them up - sealed first time!Very happy with the result. Recommend this product!Just be aware this stuff is super sticky and you have to scrub your hands for a while with a Scotchbrite pad to get it off (ask me how I know this). So wear some disposable nitrile gloves and old clothes you don't care about and be careful you do not get it all over your nice tools - if you do - wipe it off as soon as possible
