Nice addition to Izula
I knew when i bought the skeletonized Izula that I would be adding scales. These G10 scales are nice quality and are easy to install. Allows for a better grip on the Izula.

Fit and Finish are A+
After using a paracord wrap on my izula for a few years i was getting tired of the wrap slipping and having to re-adjust/re-wrap the handle. I wanted a set of scales, looked at TKC and decided against for now as the $40 for TKC's was near what i paid for the knife. Plus I consider the esee scae to be a 'baseline', I could use them for awhile and decide where to go from there. I knew I was getting simple G10 scales that bolt onto the esee izula. I was very impressed with the fit and finish. The G10 checkering is very grippy and feels great in the hand. The edge radius is consistent, the back face is very flat/ stiff and butts up to the tang without gaps. The screw holes are counter sunk. All radii, edges, holes and surfaces are free of g10 chips or burs. There is an internal spacer that fits in the skelotonized section of the tang with holes for the screw, a nice feature that should be listed, keeps the scale alignment with the tang even if the screws loosen. Speaking of screws they are male/female counter sunk screw heads with a nice fitting shoulder. I think the scales let the knife be used more hardly than bare or cord wrapped. Considering the material, heat treatment and length/thickness of the knife I really dont think this is a problem. The scales let the user get closer to the knife limits but they are still far away. I like the micarta material look and feel but I wish they were full length tlike the G10 scales. I plan on making my own micarta or wood scales using the esee's as a template.

Great Fit
Perfect scales for the Izula. They give you that little bit extra that makes the grip perfect.

These took a lot of fitting/sanding of the insert to mount. Nice once on.
These scales come with a plastic insert/spacer that fills the hole in the knife handle so that the scales don't slide around with use. The insert has two thru-holes that capture/space the scale screws with respect to the handle frame. Mine did not fit and took a lot of sanding/shaping. I do like the scale material feel and size/weight of these once on. The flat heads of the scale screws are just below the plane of the scale surface, nice fitting. These scales add a nice substantial feel to the crappy skeleton handle frame of the Izula/Eskabar twins. FYI, these are Torx head screws so be prepared. They should just put a full metal tang on the Izula and Eskabar and be done with this futzing.

Upgrade
Got myself an ESEE Isula as a sub three inch edc fixed blade. The shiny s35vn knife looks good as is but I wanted to dress it up a bit and to give the handle a bit more width and grip. Ordered the black scales from the many available colors which arrived in one day. Extremely easy to install with just the two screws and fits perfectly, took about two minutes and was done. IMHO it looks much better and the grip is much more secure. I have also ordered an upgraded sheath which I’m waiting for. I can easily recommend these scales to add to your Isula.

Perfect fit, great ergonomics and feel.
This turns the Izula into a very different knife, very comfortable and still small enough for neck carry. Micarta's texture feels really good in the hand, and creates a great grip for any task.

A perfect fit and these handles make a difference. My hand was getting a little tired after just a few minutes using the Izula with out the handles. Now it is so much easier. The knife also looks much better.

Excellent Seller. Had exactly what I needed. I had a knife with no handle. And this was the perfect item and it came in the right color. This came as a complete unit including the mounting screws. It installs easily and makes the knife complete. Thanks very much to this Seller. I am very happy with my purchase.
