I figured if it didn't work I'd just return it. Well, I'm keeping it☺ It works just as well as more expensive ones I've had. Took me a minute to figure out how to adjust the grind (it's the little wheel under the cap), but once I did, we were in business. I like that the blades are ceramic so no rust worries and the glass is heavy duty. It holds a lot and is easy to refill, too. I needed something to grind up my birds’ pellets since they won’t eat them whole. This does a good job of grinding them up so I can sprinkle it on top of their food. Overall I would say this is a really nice product. It feels sturdy and I would relate the thickness of the glass to what I feel a baby food jar feels like. The ONLY complaint is that the plastic top that keeps the excess powder in the chamber after getting ground up, comes off very easily. So I got ground up cockatiel pellet everywhere because it popped off mid-turn.
