ESDDI Double Charger EN-EL15 Batteries - Great design and packing more power...!.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Usage - I've been using my new ESDDI Double Charge EN-EL15 Camera batteries and Charger for several days now and I have to say they are exactly what I would hope to expect from a new Charger and Camera Batteries, maybe even more. I say more because I love several aspects, the charger LED's & their useful visual indication of charge and charging, the quality and build of both the Charger and Batteries, the versatility of power source such as USB Micro and USB-C, to name but a few. The charger is a good shape and size and fits nicely into my camera bag. As the charging cable is a USB Standard, I can charge my batteries in my car! The charge time is difficult to specify as I've never run the batteries flat yet as they have lasted so long! The specifications suggest a whopping 15.54 Wh each...! I shot quite a lot of video with the ESDDI Batteries, which I do quite a bit, and it was still going strong well after an hour. Battery life appears to be better than my Nikon Battery and the ESDDI Battery has not run out of juice yet, which is amazing! The ESDDI EN-EL15 Battery is 2100 mAh whereas the Nikon EN-EL15 is 1900 mAh, which obviously increases length of use of the ESDDI Battery, so that’s brilliant! As you can see above, I have created an un-boxing and first use video, so you will be able to see what I saw. :)Batteries - They fit very nicely and snuggly enough to ensure they do not fall out if the charger is turned upside-down (see video). When inserted into the charger they hit home with a satisfying clunk. They are very well-made using quality plastic, and all elements of the battery parts fit very snuggly together; there are no gaps of rough edges. The batteries fit perfectly in my camera, just as you would hope they would, and they click nicely into their seat. The ESDDI EN-EL15 Battery is 2100 mAh, whereas the Nikon supplied battery is 1900 mAh, so this would no doubt give a longer charged life. I've had a quick look and many other replacement batteries are no more than the standard 1900 mAh, so the ESDDI's 2100 mAh is pretty good!Charger - Is made of very strong and good quality plastic, which looks like it’s been designed to be as rugged as you would hope and last at least the life of the batteries, but presumably longer. The design and mouldings are very well thought out and the batteries fit very nicely in their respective slots. The charging pins are of good strong quality and will no doubt resist many battery insertions with ease. The fact there are 2 ports for charging the batteries is perfect and very useful; the camera manufactured charger I have only has one and has always been a bit of a bind.Charge Cable - Appears to be of a good quality. All too often cables are an afterthought and quite flimsy, but this supplied cable has been given some thought, both in its construction and in its length; it is long enough to ensure the Power Outlet can be reached, but not too long so as to cause it to be too bulky.Power - The charger has 2 charging inputs, USB Micro and USB-C, which for me is very useful as I own a Smart Phone that uses USB-C and I will only need to take 1 charging cable in my bag! Bonus...!LED - Comes with a protective film covering it. There is 1 LED display for each battery charge port, which are called CH1 and CH2. The number of LED's lit appears to be the amount of charge the battery has, i.e. 4 LED's = a 25% split for each LED, therefore 2 lit LED's will be 50% charged. The remaining LED's flash off and on in turn until the battery is charged. I find this visual aid to be very useful, especially in understanding how much longer the batteries have left to charge.Packaging - When I received the parcel, I was pleasantly surprised by how compact the packaging was; I was expecting a bulky box with lots of dead space inside, which is all too often the case these days. Is very well produced and the materials used are perfect for the task at hand; the card is very sturdy and as absorbing of shocks as you should expect. Easy to open and access the contents, but securely fastened when closed, with no chance of losing the contents. The foam surround fits snuggly into the outer box and slides out nicely when coaxed, but not so easily as to fall out, saving the contents from damage. The batteries have an extra layer of foam protecting their base, where the battery connection sits, to ensure no damage in transit, which is a nice touch.Instructions - Are very easy to read and understand. They are as detailed as they need to be for a Camera Battery Charger and Batteries. There are 3 languages, English and what I assume is German and Chinese. They contain usage information specific to the Batteries and Charger which will help guide you in your use of the product. My Conclusion: Please check out 'Usage' above as that helps me to conclude my use of the ESDDI Double Charge EN-EL15 Camera Batteries and Charger! To add, I haven't been able to time how long the batteries hold their charge as they haven't run out of charge yet, which can only be a good thing right...?! However, as I've said above, they do last longer than my original Nikon Batteries, which is a definite and very useful bonus. I love the ESDDI design, from the item itself to the packaging its placed in. For example, the foam inner that each item sits in has 2 corners cut out next to where the charger sits (see arrowed picture). This may not appear to be much, but in doing this, if there is a shock to either of the directly adjacent corners of the box, then shock will be absorbed by the box and not the charger; genius! I just love the LED charging display; I find it very useful in its action, and much more user friendly at a glance than other makes and models I've used, that simply have a blinking coloured light!

better than original Nikon EL15
To give it a try i took it to my trip to London last week along with a original spare and to my surprise, i didn't have to use my spare. It lasted good two day with average usage leaving more than 50% of battery. The price paid wan not even comparable with original. For the price of 1 original battery, i got two battery and a charger. It came almost fully charged hence worked just out of the box.yet to see how long it will last but the first impression for this product is not bad.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Pleasently surprised.Brilliant packagingQuality plasticsCharge hold almost as much as genuine OEM batteriesDigital charging display to estimate how much is done.Quick charge supportUSBC+ microusb charge points..This is a perfectly designed productNo point spending twice the money on a single battery when one can get 2 batts and a charger for the same...The longevity test would be how well it'll perform after a few months

A brilliant portable charger
This is a great USB charger for my Nikon D800 batteries. It is small, light and compact to slot easily into my camera bag.I don't need additional mains leads, this uses USB connections - it has a USB C socket and a USB Micro socket - either can be used. As I already have equipment using these connectors, I don't need additional leads. I can also charge my batteries in my car or in the field using my power bank.My batteries charged quickly with an easy to read display to see the progress of the charging. This is a great charger, wish I had discovered it sooner!

Super long lasting
These little batteries are amazing considering how cheap they are. I shot a full days wedding on just one of these batteries! (In my nikon d800) That's actually better than one my original nikon one is, although the nikon one is pretty old if we're being fair.I like that you can charge both at once and I love that it indicates how much charge they have when charging, something the nikon charger doesn't have. I'm more than pleased with these batteries and would highly recommend.

Cheap and cheerful and worth the money.
Cheap and cheerful but good value because of that. Shorter life between charges than branded batteries but not enough for it to matter much on most shoots. Slower to recharge with just a USB input too, but again, mostly that doesn't matter, charges perfectly well overnight. You get what you pay for. These work and they're cheap - result.

Good value battery and charger combination.
First impressions are that these ESSDI batteries will turn out to be a very good purchase. They fit and are accepted by the Nikon D7500 camera without any problems and can be recharged not only by the ESSDI charger but by the one that came with the camera. Can't comment yet on battery life or longevity but the indications so far are encouraging.

Unreal value for money
Wow! Amazing device! Cheap, effective, small - brilliant display - fast charge. Sure I don’t expect the batteries to be £60 Nikon’s but they work a treat. Essential purchase for location / power bank and car charge!
