Cat Fishin' Critter: Punk Mouse Refill

I bought the Cat Fishin’ pole for my 4 cats about 2 years ago. It is far and away their favorite toy. They are obsessed with this toy. They want to play Every. Single. Day. They know when it’s time for it to come out of the closet, and will cluster around the closet door when it’s playtime. If I delay the game, they will all follow me around and try to push my walking around in the direction of the closet. All four like to play with it differently. One wants to be on the bed, one will go down to the landing of the stairs so that he can “float” up off the floor to catch the critter. He will literally bounce off the wall to give himself more height to catch the toy. His brother likes to grab the toy, and hide behind a chair with the toy either in his mouth, or trapped under his paw. The last one likes to play with it on the hard floor, in a room away from the toy room. They all love this thing. We’ve gone through 2 of the attachments. The first one lasted about 3 months, the second about 6 months. Pretty great for having four cats playing with it (not gently, either), drooling on it, chewing on it, carrying it around the house (when they can get it), and just chasing it all over the house. This toy is very well made. The last couple I bought (different brands) that lasted maybe a month before they broke. This one has lasted for a couple of years, and is going strong. And, still THE favorite toy of all four cats.

For reasons I cannot explain, our cats go nuts for these toys from Cat Fishin'. They have all kinds of other mice and balls, both hard and soft, but they don't hold a candle to these. It's not something simple like catnip, as they have plenty of other toys with that. It all started when we got the Cat Fishin' fly rod. The "punk mouse" that came with it broke off of the string at one point and has been loose in the house. Whenever it turns up, they play with it for hours until its lost again. Whoever has it actually growls to keep the other away. These are pretty expensive for what they are, but they are quite durable (more so than "meek mouse).

I liked the toy mouse for kitty, but kitty hated it. However I suppose most cats would love it; like it would stand up under abuse, safe toy, nice pocket to add catnip. Our cat loved one toy in his 5 years move it to room to room. Then he barfed on it, and I have looked every where for a replacement...at about 15 toys I give up I gave this mouse to son's two cats and they love it.

This is literally one of my cats favorite toys! He loves that they rattle! They are good quality and last a long time. Highly recommend!

I was excited to get this toy for my cats since they seemed to really like this brand of toys. I guess my excitement for it was way more then what my cats felt. They didn't care for it. They didn't even look at it when I took it off the da bird wand and just threw it across the room.

A little expensive for what you get. This item arrived without a hook attachment in it. Although the free mouse I received with the Cat Fishin' Rod had the hook attachment in it, I had to replace it with my own hook since it fell out and wouldn't stay in. Ratso attachment is much better.

One of our cats is obsessed with this pink mouse (attached to the fishing tod toy). Of the available attachments this one is far and away his favorite. He drags it everywhere. It’s a simple toy but one of the best. The tail gets destroyed after about a month of heavy-duty bengal playtime, so it’s fairly strong.

Our two year old loves these-we have purchased several. You get different bright colors, no choice. Well made and durable. Small enough to carry around and light enough to still toss in air. Good twine/rope like tail to also carry mouse around, Worth the price.
