I had to replace the shocks on my Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel and I made the mistake of listening to a parts guy at a chainStore and I bought Rancho shocks. I replaced the rancho's after 6 months with these Bilstein's. What a difference. My truck has never driven better!! I would have changed them sooner if it wasn't winter.

Easy instal
I read many reviews before deciding on this specific shock andfound that several had gone to more trouble than necessary when installingthem, including removing the batteries.I only removed one non-related part and that was the intake elbow connectedto the air filter box and mine is a stock '05 diesel.I loosened the lower shock bolt on the passenger side used a couple extensionsto loosen the 2 inner bolts on the shock tower and reached in over the tire andloosened the third one then removed them all and lifted the tower and shock outtogether, mounted the new shock to the tower and reinserted. Lined up the lowerbolt and got it well started by hand then pushed the shock and tower down andreinserted the three shock tower bolts tightened them and then tightened everything. The only difference on the driver side was to remove the tower from the shock beforelifting the shock out. Went well and took less than an hour.I did have help but mostly for lining up the bottom bolts. Don't let this job overwhelm youit was very straight forward. The ride is much nicer than what was on them, which looked OEM but at 144,000 milesI wouldn't have expected the original OEM to still be there. I will be towing a TravelTrailer with the truck soon and will update as necessary. The rears have arrived and I will be installing them soon.

The stem is too short. It indicated on the website that it would fit 06 Ram 3500 but it doesn't.
