Not exactly like the original but close enough!
A few years ago I ordered an HP Touchsmart computer. The keyboard that came with it was hands down the best keyboard I ever owned and believe me that's a lot of keyboards. I'm a web designer and extremely picky about my keyboards both for touch factor and durability. I use my computer for many hours on a daily basis and found myself replacing keyboards every year. The letters were wearing/worn off after 10-12 months on each and every Logitech or other brand keyboard I owned. I switched to buying refurbished Logitechs because the cost of new was ridiculous and I saved money by purchasing refurbs. If I had to replace annually anyway, why buy new when a refurb did the trick? I had a stack of about 8 keyboards that all still worked but the letters were worn off and the touch was off. My original HP Elite Desktop's lettering and touch is still like new after 3 years.I replaced the HP Touchsmart a few months ago with an HP Envy. The image of the keyboard (when ordering my new Envy) was so small on the HP site that I could not view it so I stupidly assumed I'd get the same keyboard. I was very disappointed in the keyboard that came with the Envy, cheap clickety clackety noisy Walmart quality crap. I couldn't believe HP would pair the keyboard I got with the higher end Envy computer. I was so disappointed I wrote HP and complained. I fully expected they would replace the cheap keyboard or at the very least offer me a decent discount on the keyboard I wanted being that I've ordered HP computers for years and considered myself to be a very loyal customer to them and spent a LOT of money at HP. Not so, they told my my only option was to purchase the keyboard I wanted to the tune of $80. I was not happy at all with their response. So, I went on a hunt for the same keyboard that came with my Touchsmart and found the HP Wireless Elite Desktop v2. This is not exactly like the original (from 3 years ago) but it's *very* close. I would still prefer the original but this will do very nicely. It's a little plainer looking but the design and functionality is pretty much right on with the original. If you're looking for a keyboard that has all the bells and whistles for one touch music, internet, gaming etc this probably is not the keyboard for you. If you want a workhorse with great speed-typing touch and don't need a lot of fancy frills it most likely will be perfect for you. The price was fantastic at about half the cost of purchasing from the HP site and it's new not a refurb.Deb

Returned mine, but still one of the best in my opinion..
Ok, so even though I returned this product, I feel like I should definitely give credit where its due. First off, the price. Not the most expensive and not the cheapest either, but for the price it is much better quality than you would expect and I feel like they could have easily raised the price by another 10-15 dollars. Secondly, for me personally, looks are important :) I mean how can you have a clean setup and a keyboard or mouse that just doesnt look nice. This is by far the best looking keyboard I have ever seen, and I have seen a lot recently, since I needed to purchase one. The keys are also soft and not like some of the bigger keyboard and mouse manufacturers that have plasticy keys that make noise even when you just move your fingers over them, this one does no such thing. The only downside to this combo would be the mouse in my opinion, its not too bad, but it didnt feel that great either, also, the mouse has a glossy black cover which in my opinion doesnt match the black of the keyboard. I would personally recommend buying just the keyboard and getting a mouse that fits well in your hands and that you prefer. Now, as far as me returning the product is concerned, well I would never have in a million years, however, the only problem with the one that I got was that the space bar made a loud noise on one side, like a clank, and on the other side it wasn't too bad. This became a bit of a problem, since the space bar is one of the most used keys and the sound was driving me insane, especially since the rest of the keyboard is so quiet. However, asides from that, this is a beautiful looking keyboard and if the things that are important to me are important to you as well, then you will love this. However, as I said, I would rather just buy the keyboard then the whole combo, but that is just my personal preference. All in all, this is one of those products that you cant really go wrong with, especially taking in to account the price. I would have paid more just because of how it looks.

I purchased 3 and love them.
After using laptops for years i can't use normal keyboards as the keystroke is too long. Though this keyboard has laptop style keys, they are better than any laptop i have used apple or PC. I purchased my first one 6 years ago and it is still working. I have purchased two more since. I have a Lenovo Yoga C930 and use this keyboard over the integrated one as it has normal key spacing. I also use it with my work and home desktop computer. The frame is rigid and the product is durable, I travel with the keyboard in a backpack. It is more rigid than a standard keyboard. The mouse is generic, not good not bad. As the dongle is compatible with any link5 HP mouse i use the HP Wireless Mouse X4000 with the same dongle. Additionally a further benefit is if you loose the dongle just buy another link-5 product and it will work.I find the batteries last about 4 months to a year pending on use and quality of battery.Cons:The biggest problem is that the smooth black mouse and keys attract oil and dirt which will require cleaning frequently. Also there is no water protection from the keyboard switches. If you spill liquid on it, take out the batteries wash in distilled water and dry out, and it will work again. I have done this several times. Some dongle locations lead to interference and leads to loss of keystrokes.

GREAT keyboard and mouse, but some design flaws.
I just received this today, literally plugged in the USB connector and it worked, no hassle. I do find the delete button is in a weird place on the keyboard, but ill get used to that.Keys feel great, mouse is very responsive and has a nice weight to it.Only thing stopping this from getting a 5 star review is the keyboard takes AAA batteries, and the mouse takes AA batteries...which I find ridiculous.
