Satisfied
I am overall happy with this purchase. It was extremely easy to install onto my cage (I have a wired cage) but if you have a plexiglass cage I don’t think this will work for you, as I don’t see how you could attach it. It is very easy to detach as well, and cleans very well. However ferrets are very smart and all you have to do to attach/detach is twist it in place so they can figure that out and unscrew it themselves. Although I personally didn’t have this problem I know people who have. And it loosens a little after a while making it wiggle around so I find you do have to tighten it once in a while to keep it from moving. But overall I think it was a good purchase and definitely gets the job done.

Not my favorite color, wish it was available in more but it gets the job done. I bought 2 at the same time for my ferret and within 2 months the bowl that holds the food has teeth marks and the water bowl looks like new. I'm rating 5 stars because to be fair when I 1st got my Ferret she bit EVERYTHING, her hammock, bed, litter box, and us. It was the adjusting to the new environment. We had to replace some items that she tore apart but the dishes are still good if anything I'd replace just one. Overall they are easy to clean, they hold good considering my ferret cant knock them off, perfect size for the right amount of food and water (we give her fresh food and water every morning) and it's so easy to replace the food and water without removing everything. On the 3rd picture you can see how one of the dishes is locked (water) and the other unlocked (food) with a simple back and forth clip, pretty easy. I also pictured the teeth marks but like I said my ferret bit 1 out of the 2 and still they get job done and honestly I doubt theres anything cheaper out there. So definitely good for a SINGLE ferret and yes theres small spills here and there (hardly anything) but what animal doesn't drop anything and nothing compared to having the bowls flipped over.

BUY THESE! Trust me, just buy them!
I literally want to shout out to anyone that gave this less than 5 stars - "Are you a crazy person"???? I have two fat little guinea pigs, who were CONSTANTLY stepping in their pellet bowls, spilling them all over the place, not only making a mess, but wasting so much food! I saw some people say their pets couldn't get at the food...c'mon! They have super sniffers, and they are not dumb. Buddy and Sporty Spice had zero issues getting at these, the plastic is super strong and durable, they lock securely in place, easy to lift out to refill, and they are literally the best thing I have discovered for small pets in a cage. If I could give these a million stars, I would. BUY THESE!!! You're welcome. :)

I use these bowls for "Chop" mixed veggies, rice, corn, peas, and assorted other goodies dishwasher safe. Very nice product, little on the high side but you get what you pay for.

Piggy-Proof!
My guinea pig is a PAIN when it comes to his water source. As he got bigger, he discovered he was strong enough to tip over his water bowl and create the biggest slurry of a mess in his enclosure. I switched him to a dropper but I felt like he wasn't getting enough water at once and practically bending over backwards to get water.I ordered two bowls - one for water and one for food. They arrived when indicated in a massive box which contained only two 6oz bowls. Luckily, no pieces were broken as there was nothing to cushion the two small bowls from being thrown around inside the huge box. After attaching the bowls to the cage, which was straightforward and easy, my guinea pig immediately proceeded to pull and tug at the bowls. To my luck and his dismay the bowls stayed! SO happy to no longer have to clean up his food messes. Definitely recommend for those testy little fluff butts!!

Small but holds well
Make sure you check the size because this is a fairly small bowl. I use it for rabbit pellets so I have to fill it twice a day which isn't a big deal. It's very hard so doesn't have any rabbit chew marks on it after about a month of use, which is good. It holds well on my cage (I attached directly above a cross bar for added stability and to help avoid possible stripping of the screw in case it was climbed on) and the bowl is removable without unscrewing the holder, but since I wasn't sure it wouldn't be bumped out of the holder I left the zip tie on it which it came with to keep it in place and located it close to the door of the cage for easy filling. It does have a lock of some sort in the design but I wasn't confident that it would stay in place with my active pet. The price seemed fair for the quality. Overall pretty good item so far.

Not quite what I was looking for
For very small animals like gerbils or rats, these would probably work well. Unfortunately, for little weaning kittens, it didn't work out very well. They were able to defeat the locking mechanism quite easily and dump food and water everywhere. They were also way too small for even a tiny kitten. The locking mechanism that locks the bowl onto the clamp is loose on some of them, and it just slides right back. The animal gets under it and lifts it right off. I did put a piece of tape on it to keep that from happening, and it did work, but, like I say, they're just too small for kittens. Otherwise, it would probably work well for smaller animals.

CAUTION
I realize now how much of an idiot I am...… okay great bowl right but the main purpose is for my little hedgehog to be able to eat out of it, I have a wabbitat cage and took out the step part since it was to steep for her to climb, anyway I ordered two and after I threw away the boxes I went to put them on the cage...… that's when I realized my big mistake, THE WALLS OF THE CAGE ARE TOO HIGH FOR A FRICKIN HEDGEHOG TO EVEN BOOP THE BOTTOM WITH HER NOSE!!!!! but its all good I just filled the bedding up super high and now she can reach it.... still I wasted like 5 dollars on bedding so I will give it a four star :) GREAT IF UR NOT AN IDIOT
