Insulated Sport 24oz Bottle BLUE/WHITE

I first found Polar water bottles at Dick's Sporting Goods. Now my hubby and I have several that we use for the gym, work, and life in general. We love them and we see many people toting their Polar bottles around our gym. I like ice-cold water, especially when I'm working out, so I store mine in the refrigerator and add ice before I work out. The water stays very cold throughout my hour-long spin or yoga classes. I take one to work, though the water does not stay cold for the entire day (8 or 9 hours) unless I keep adding ice when I refill. Speaking of melting ice, condensation rarely forms on the bottle, and I've found that this occurs if I've added more ice than usual. I usually fill the bottle and leave 3-4" at the top for ice (6-8 full-size cubes) and it's fine. For long car rides, we'll fill a couple bottles halfway and freeze them overnight, and then we'll add water in the morning. These bottles are easy to clean as long as you have a good bottle brush that reaches the bottom (I recommend the OXO bottle brush that is both long enough and dishwasher-safe for disinfecting). We have the 24-oz bottles but I definitely will order a smaller one to fit on my bike this summer. I bought the blue Big Bear bottle from Amazon and I love it. Who wouldn't want to see a cute polar bear every time you take a sip of water during their workout? The bottles are easy to hold while you're working out too. You can squeeze water into your mouth or slurp it--whichever you prefer. I like the black handle that makes it easy to carry or to grab from a bottle holder during spin class. One issue worth noting is that some of our bottles are very scratched on the bottoms where they were placed in the holders on the spin bikes at the gym. It is a tight fit and constantly moving them in and out of the holders scratched them quite a bit.

I used to use cheap, uninsulated water bottles on my bike. If I put cold liquid or ice in the bottles, they would "sweat" and drip water right into my front derailleur and bottom bracket. Not good, especially for steel bikes. The Polar bottle solves this problem. Thanks to intelligent engineering, it can be filled with ice cubes and water without producing condensation... and the contents stay COLD. The Polar bottle is also very tough and can take many miles of cycling without showing significant wear. Another good thing: You can select different color patterns to complement the color of your bikes (or make socio-political commentary). The Polar bottles are not inexpensive, but quality construction, durability and advanced functionality make them well worth the money.

I bought one of these as a replacement for a lost Camelbak Podium Big Chill (*sniffle sniffle*) and had really low expectations for it as I'd previously seen a 4 star general rating on it. I decided to gamble on it and ordered the bottle with the blue bear design for $8 (WOW, affordable). I've had it for about a month so far and use it often during weekdays for my commute to college, so I guess I consider it to have been used well enough to post a nice review. Pros: -Price : very affordable -Designs : wide array of designs on the bottles, enough to be able to choose something that matches your bike or even appeals to your eye. The bottle is somewhat contoured for hands as well -Functionality: works as intended and keeps water cool way longer than standard bottles. It also doesn't release chemicals (according -Neck Loop : it's nice to be able to clip it onto a backpack strap with a carabiner instead of having to open the pack to store the bottle -Size: 24 ounces is a nice amount of storage for water. Not enough for the whole day but there's always a way to refill it. Cons: -Materials : The plastic used to make the bottle seems like it was recycled. Don't get me wrong, this is GREAT, but the inside section is a white plastic that resembles the kind Clorox bleach gallons are made of. I suspect that's what makes the water taste a little funny. In my opinion, this bottle is great for the price. Some people might not want one because of that funny taste (which DOES diminish after a while) i mentioned. I definitely recommend it though. I bought two of these WATER BOTTLE POLAR 24oz BIG BEAR BLUE [Misc. ] and got them for under ten each and they are fantastic at keeping water and sports drinks cool. I have used 4 other products to keep water cool and have found that within 3 hours, they are warm...not so with these bottles. I live in a very hot summertime climate (over 60 days this year of 100+ temperatures) and will ride for 2-4 hours (spouse permitting) on a weekend and these bottles are "just what the doctor ordered" for keeping hydrated because they make you want to drink more fluids. I have seen that many people say that these bottles leak and that it soaked their children's backpacks. I have to say then maybe they were not properly closed. I was a kid once I know when I was in 2nd grade I really didn't care to much about the things I threw into my backpack.I had two of these bottles in my backpack along with my a large textbook on fluid mechanics and two binders filled with computation paper today and they did not leak ,or surprisingly enough, get things wet due to condensation. I even filled both bottles secured the tops inverted them and squeezed to attempt to make them leak and still they did not. Second, I filled these bottles up at 7am before I left the house with water that had been sitting overnight in my fridge in a Brita pitcher. Around 1pm the water inside was still cool. Of course it wasn't as cold as when it was poured and there is no way that it could be. That kind of would violate the laws of thermodynamics. The bottles where stored in roughly room temp at 23.3C. I am happy with the performance I got from an $8 bottle. I bought two of these for the cages on my mountain bike and it seems that they were a good purchase. Plus you can get the "big bear" bottles and it has a polar bear on them and that right there earns 4 stars, kidding of course, but still you have a large smiling bear on a bottle which is pretty awesome. The squeeze on them is nice as well and you can easily drink from them while riding. Overall for the performance to price ratio I would recommend these to anyone. There are bottles out there for a lot more money and that will roughly perform the same. Many people need a justification on money spent even when there is a similar product for less will pass over it do to name brand and cost. Why would you spend $40+ for 1C?

I purchased this bottle for bike rides of about 30 minutes to 1 hour in duration. I'm new to road-biking and this is the first insulated water bottle I've ever bought. It's the middle of the summer right now, and average day temperatures in southeastern Pennsylvania are about 85-90 degrees, with a lot of humidity. We've been getting cool, overcast days in the 70's, too. I tried out the bottle on a day when temperatures were in the mid-70's with light humidity. I filled the bottle with about 8 ice cubes and then topped it off with cold water from the tap. The water was cold but not ice-cold to begin with. I know that the recommendation is to partially freeze water in the bottle an hour or so before riding, but I forgot and needed to hit the road. How did it perform? Well, 30 minutes into the ride, the water was becoming less cold and I think the ice cubes had mostly melted. It was still pleasant to drink, but it didn't seem like much of an improvement over non-insulated water bottles. An hour later, as I arrived home, the water was still a bit cold, but right on the verge of becoming lukewarm. The bottle did not sweat at all. I also couldn't feel the temperature of the water through the bottle, which is a good sign meaning decent insulation. I plan to try out the freezer method. I may even take temperatures and perform a little science experiment if I can find a thermometer lying around the house. I didn't experience any issues with drinking from the bottle. No inordinately hard squeezing which I've seen mentioned by other reviewers. The soft rubber mouthpiece pulls out with one's teeth or by hand. It can be removed entirely for cleaning. I like that there's a strap, so the bottle can quickly be yanked out of its bike mount or toted around without introducing warmth to the contents. Unfortunately, I'm still a biking newb, so I have to stop to drink and haven't taken advantage of the strap yet. I was concerned by another reviewer reportedly finding the insulating foil in their water. After receiving the product and inspecting it, I don't know if what the other reviewer alleged is even possible or if the bottle has been redesigned since then. The chamber that holds water is either one piece or sealed very well. I didn't see anywhere that the foil is in contact with the bottle contents or could flake off and enter the interior chamber. I will update later once I've used the bottle more and tried different methods of keeping the water cool before hitting the road.

I needed an insulated water bottle that could keep water cold in the most extreme of conditions: over-100-degree-F Saturdays in Phoenix, Arizona. This bottle wasn't up to snuff. Water that came directly out of the refrigerator at the time I filled the bottle is, after just one hour, so warm that you can't tell it was ever cooled in the first place. I even put two ice cubes in with the water once just to see if that would slow down the rise in temperature. No such luck: after an hour in the desert heat, the water was as warm as it always is--in fact, as warm as it used to be when I was using a plastic water bottle with NO insulation at all. Isn't insulation supposed to make SOME difference? The stuff in this bottle doesn't. The funny thing is that when I fill my Camelbak backpack with *uncooled* room-temperature water from the tap, and then I fill my Polar bottle with *refrigerated* water (I always take both the Camelbak and the Polar bottle together on my two-hour bike rides), after an hour or two of riding in the sun, the water in the Camelbak tastes much cooler than the water in the Polar bottle...even though the latter was originally refrigerated and the former was not! So a backpack that is *not* expressly designed to keep water cool actually keeps it cooler than an insulated bottle that *is* designed to keep it cool. I think I'd better keep looking for a better bottle. This one failed the test.

Over the last few years I've gone through about 6 or 7 bottles as I use them pretty hard. Cycling thousands of miles per year, hiking and various other outdoor activities they're great water bottles. I will always purchase these with Amazon because no store can compare to the pricing available here. These last two were purchase months ago and while I haven't used them as hard as normal, they are still nearly brand new and I've always got one or both ready to go in the freezer! I like to freeze half a bottle of water then add half a bottle of cold water. Half ice, half water... good to go with 24oz of cold water for hours!!!

These are great water bottles and fit on my road bike. I have 2 and when loaded with ice and a drink they keep cool for a long time. Great for distance rides or hill work on hot sunny days.

見た目じゃわかりづらい？ですが、結構長めです。 仕方ないんですが、夏場ではすぐぬるくなります。 この手のボトルは、掃除が非常にしづいらいです。 大着するとカビが生えるのも悩みの種で、これも例に漏れずでした。

少し長すぎてロードバイクに縦付けはできず 保冷機能は？？

結構使い込んできましたが、不都合もなく、耐久性もあるようです。
