Teach Yourself VISUALLY MacBook Pro

Loved this, since it is Mavericks OS the book crosses over for iMac also. I am leading a group at my computer club and got this as a back up. It is great. Everything is explicitly shown and explained. I wish I had had this when I first got my iMac. Instead I went to Peach Mac for the weekly one on one and all they did was Google the questions I had!! LOL!! Buy this book and save a bundle.

I'm sixty so I need more than the younger generation to get going on a different computer. This was very informative and helped me a lot.

This is from Mrs. Vollan who loves her new MacBook Pro. The book is very clear in explaining the features and options, but sometimes it assumes we know certain things, so some explanations do not start from "Step One" for those totally new to computers. The steps are numbered, and the illustrations and photos show these numbers, making it easy to read the steps and see which parts of the screen refer to the steps. The photos in color are very, very helpful. The rating would be five stars except the words in the illustrations/photos are very tiny, making a magnifier necessary.

Helped a little bit but have trouble with all apple directions.

Excellent graphics and super explanation. Book very easy to follow and very intuitive and gives you a running start in learning to use your MacBook Pro computer.

I just purchased a Macbook Pro with Retina Display and love the laptop. I needed help in learning how to get the most from my machine. I especially like the illustrations. In the past, I had purchased a Windows 7 for Dummies and did not find it very helpful. I have not had much time yet to really use the new book, but so far, it is far superior.

The book has lasted longer then the computer.. the book was so so for info..

Great Book. More info than I'll ever need, but it's there just in case. Much easier to read it in a book than trying to absorb all the info in online videos.

Whenever I get a new piece of technology I look to see if there is a Teach Yourself Visually book as I find them so helpful and clear.

Easy to follow with full picture instructions

it is quiet easy to follow as I have no knowledge of apple at all so as a novice I think it is worth the money
