6 Pairs Solid White Cotton Newborn Baby/infant No Scratch Mittens Gloves " Us Seller"

These mittens are okay for us...as first time parents we knew we would need some mittens for our new baby in the hospital and afterwards to protect her (and us) from those sharp little nails! I like that these are all white and pretty thin. Since babies can't sweat, I like that I could use these in all seasons without worrying about baby's hands getting too hot. However, I don't like how big they are! They are huge! Granted, our baby girl was small (5 lbs 12 oz) but she's grown since then and they are still so big on her! They constantly fall off--which obviously prevents them from doing their primary purpose. The upside about them being large is that the elastic is not super tight, indenting the hands. I had read about tight elastic on other reviews and was worried about it. Overall, I'd rather have mittens that are too large than ones that are indenting baby's soft skin--but I still wish they were smaller!

I bought these for my 6 week old baby girl. Upon opening the package, I thought that these mittens would be to big for my baby. After washing and drying mittens (wash: cold water; dry: low heat) they still looked a tad bit big. However, they fit my baby well and have not slipped off. Prior to purchasing these mittens, I was using the Gerber mittens (they fit just fine but was looking to supplement with white mittens). While the Gerber mittens fit well, especially in the first few weeks, they didn't have much room for my baby to stretch her growing fingers freely. In other words, her hands were confined to being in a fist. On the other hand, these mittens are longer and allow baby to stretch her fingers. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

These mittens worked great and never randomly came of my sons hands... BUT, after my son hit the 9-10 pound mark these were too small. They left a whelp that went all the way around his little wrist, matter of fact that happened a month ago and we're just now seeing that the ring is almost gone. But my son is also a little chunky so that may have been the issue also, but i just wanted to put down our experience with these.

I love these for my grandson. The others have all either fallen off or been too short for him to stretch his fingers. The elastic is not too tight but still tight enough so they do not fall off at all. He is 6 weeks old and although these are a little long, he should be able to use them for quite a while. The ones in the 3rd picture, with stitching on the outside are not what we received and I am glad. Also, liked that there are no tags inside the gloves. I am ordering some of the striped and solid blue today.

I'm not super thrilled about the sort of fancy edges of these however having a drawer full of solid white mittens where I can just grab any two has been fantastic. I have to really pull on the elastic to keep them from digging into his skin but he maybe has chubbier than usual wrists and once I pull them till they pop once or twice they fit fine. Why on earth do babys socks and mittens ONLY come in packs where you never have more than two that match each other? Ugh!

Inexpensive and functional. They are obviously not made for prolonged use, but work well for my newborn. I have had them through the wash and they hold up. They are pretty thin, which is perfect for the late spring and summer months, but not ideal for colder weather.

I ended up not being able to use these b/c I was scared that the elastic might be too snug on my baby's wrists. She never did scratch herself - we never used mittens on her. They make perfect baby shower gifts though! I will buy these for friends who are having babies (and keeping the ones I have for my future babies).

They come looking just like the picture. After two washes with baby detergent, they have held up well. They are not super super soft, but they are good for the price. They fit well and do the trick, especially for the price.
