Bose Home Speaker 300, with Amazon Alexa built-in, Silver

Great speaker, sound quality is very good and more than enough volume for a typical domestic room. Very easy to set up with the BOSE app, just download that first and follow the steps. Bear in mind that any firmware updates may take up to 5 minutes to download and install before the set-up is complete. Simple to group and ungroup with any other BOSE smart speakers on the same Wi-Fi network. The speaker also supports Spotify connect, so you can stream music to it via Wi-Fi using the Spotify app. Have never used Amazon Alexa before, but found that was straightforward to set up as well. Very happy with my purchase.

I absolutely love this speaker! It has fantastic sound quality for such a small unit and the silver case is sleek and beautiful to look at (a matter of personal opinion, of course!). I have it in my new study and the sound fills the room. Contrary to some other reviewers, I found the set up really easy and straightforward. You just have to download the Bose Music app and it then walks you through set-up. Everything worked straight away with no problems whatsoever. It was really easy to search for my favourite radio stations, program the six pre-set buttons and set up Alexa too. I would definitely recommend this wonderful little speaker!

Fantastic speaker with high clarity at high level sound. Connected to Alexa with ease. When Amazon give Alexa A.I the speaker will be perfect. Let's be honest, you can't go wrong with Bose. Alexa still has a lot to learn.

This speaker is typical of Bose quality, excellent sound, full and loud while still clear. The only issue is that Alexa is not quite as good... The microphone seems to be not quite as good at picking up voices/commands and it doesn't have all of the functionality. We are looking at using an echo dot/input as the input and connecting via aux cable or bluetooth as a solution to get the best of both worlds. I would still highly recommend the speaker!

Very pleased overall. Sound is.....BOSE, Lots of detail in the audio that you won’t hear with an Amazon echo but then it’s a much higher price. Premium feel and build quality. The controls are touch only. Alexa side seems to be less sensitive than the echos I have in that I need to raise my voice to wake her up. A small niggle really but if you have another Alexa nearby it may respond instead of the Bose. 😬

Excellent sound quality,value for money,Google assistant is working good with the speaker,Bose application also works well,volume and other setup can be controled by the Bose application... Over all very good blue tooth speaker but bit expensive because it's BOSE..!

I liked that alexa and amazon music are both easy to set up using the bose mobile app. The sound quality is 10 out of 10 and the volume packs a punch! This device is mostly used for listening to news, weather music playlists, timers and alarms and of course, asking alexa ridiculous questions for the lol! Love this speaker, and highly recommend!

Brought the Bose 300 before Christmas as a treat to myself and set it up in the Uk and work perfectly but took it back to Cyprus and sadly the Alexa part of it doesn’t work so can only use the Bluetooth with Spotify which is very disappointing it seems that Amazon control which country Alexa work in!!! Which is strange because I also own a Amazon Echo 1st generation and work perfectly in Cyprus????

Initial start up was frustrating as a key instruction was missing on picking the Bose from your phone wifi settings to get connected and allow the 300 to connect to wifi. This miss cost me 30 minutes of frustration and research. Finally called the BOSE support line, and pronto everything else has been good. The sound quality is fantastic, the base is brilliant. Voice recognition is still quirky and the Bose music app is good, but could be better. It does allow you to pick from Spotify and Prime Music through the app. Have not tried Alexa yet but again have not really looked as Google was already being used. Great value and sound quality. A definite buy if you enjoy listening to music and are currently using a google home mini or other...

Two months into using it and one software update later, this stuff totally stops connecting. The app cant find and the support for this is ridiculous. What a waste of money. It’s got high bass to make up for it’s mono output,!if u are looing for high quality sound given the price u paid, ita a total ripoff. Doesnt even come close to stereo imaging. I just hope they fix it
