Excellent product! Thanks to Ovente for this induction double ...
Excellent product! Thanks to Ovente for this induction double burner. Had mine for near a year and make my eggs every morning. Don't use my electric stove top anymore, in my small kitchen, it has become counter space. Very safe (read older couple, sometimes forgetting we're cooking). It may brown the rice, but won't overheat to danger level, and if the rice boils over, a quick wipe with a damp paper towel cleans it up. No burnt boil over to scrape off.😃Two years later, still working beautifully! The glass surface has worn better than my electric stove. Do vacuum fans on bottom occasionally to keep it working. As fans do, they gather dust.

Gracias Ovente

Outfit was good. The menu was very strange
Outfit was good. The performance was very good. Only one cons was time menu. When I tried to change the time, - button for hour, + button for minute. The glass top is beautiful.

Right Burner DOA - and I opened the box past the 30 day return deadline
Was excited to finally try and drink the induction cooktop Kool-Aid. But was very disappointed when this showed up and the right burner was "dead on arrival". To me, that is a quality control issue which means the brand can't be trusted. Too bad. It is a handsome, sleek little unit. Other things I don't care for are the temperatures are preset at 50 degree intervals tied to the wattage intervals. So, going up a little, or down a little isn't an option. Also, there is a fan that runs continuously which is a bit of an annoyance if you are used to a silent stove. And the "On" button blinks continuously 24/7 until you turn the unit on, then it becomes solid red. It does heat cast iron almost instantly, although, a 10" pan is larger than the 8" induction area and the extra pan area outside that doesn't get as hot as the center. Unfortunately for me, I was working out of town when I ordered it, and I just opened the box, so it is past the 30 day return window, so I am stuck with a $250 unit with only one burner. I can keep it and use one burner, or order another. But I won't be throwing good money after bad with another of this brand I guess. I might have given this a three star or four star if I had the opportunity to return it and try again (successfully), but as it is, that is not an option so for me, this is a one star item.

First intro into induction cooking, unit works as advertised though I did have to find another skillet as the 1st one did not work even though supposedly induction compatible - not necessarily the units fault.... only other thing I would remove "ceramic" from short description - because most people immediately think electric cooktop- but it's just the cooking surface, not the element creating the heat below.

A little strange but decent for the price so far
Quality top glass/ceramic, alum colored plastic rim, black plastic base, very thin rubber feet, no unnecessary graphics except the logo. In all a relatively attractive design as compared to some of the other options.Worse thing is that the operation is not very intuitive...Plug it in and it beeps loudly for a second with the 2 side power bright red leds flashing as long as it's plugged in, no way to disable beeper or leds, no physical power switch so you will want to have one at the outlet unless you plan to plug/unplug it always. 2 watts standby though so not a big deal. Had to open it up to physically 'disable' the 2 power leds and 2 beepers inside, they are indeed that annoying with the beepers going off on power up and ever button press. Upon opening the unit though I found some very good electrical design quality and 2 large 7" coils (pictured). It does not look like they cheaped out too much inside. It seems like whoever designed it cared. Unfortunately the firmware guy doesn't seem as ambitious and it doesn't remember any settings ever so you have to play the button game every time... power a side on, hit the w/F once to enter control by wattage mode and then again to enter control by temp mode then up down arrow to what you want. Here are the two modes:- Watt Mode - up arrow through power presets 100, 300, 500, 700, 900, 1100, 1300, and 1800 watts with it initially always at 900 and again at 900 every time you return to this mode no matter what it was set to previously and in no relation to whatever your setting was in temperature mode. Measured wattages were (left: 105, 425, 530, 640, 840, 1050, 1240, 1590) (right: 102, 410, 510, 625, 815, 1015, 1205, 1315). All wattages 500 and up are at constant power (not pulsed) while 300 is a 4/5 pulsed meaning 4 sec of 500 and 1 sec of 0 watts repeating every 5 sec. 100 is a 1/5 pulsed so 1 sec of 500 and 4 sec of 0. Left and right appear to be about 30 watts different from each other with the left side stronger then the right. Most likely process variation from unit to unit how close the two burners match up. This mode is the most predictable in terms of how it drives the burners. It just does what it says until the pan overheats and it throws an E7 error and shuts down somewhere around 380f with my 10" cast iron pan. Once it cools down you can cook again. You can use the other burner even if one is overheated. Chances are if your pan is above 380f you are smoking up the house anyway so this might not be such a bad idea.- Temp Mode - up arrow through temperature presets awkwardly spaced as 140, 195, 250, 300, 355, 400, 430, 465 with it initially always at 355 and again returning to 355 every time you switch modes. If I would fix one thing this would be it, to return to whatever it was last time you were in the mode. Measured temp is a bit of a hot rod initially spiking the pan temp to 100f above the preset value for the first couple minutes and then turning off the power for another few minutes until the pan returns to the preset value minus about 50f before hitting it again with power to 50f above the preset value. This is your stability +100f on initial heating and then +-50f thereafter. Recommend if you use this mode to let the pan pre-heat empty for 4 min or so before putting your food in as the temp will most certainly be too high at first. Whoever programmed this thing really needs to take a lesson in control systems stability and use a more clever algorithm of heating. They should also space the presets a bit more evenly and closer say every 25f.What confuses is that switching between watt and temp resets back to the default for each, so you can't really switch modes while cooking or you will be entirely confused and most likely burn whatever it is. Pick one and stick with it. I will probably settle on wattage and just learn which values suit whatever I cook. The bigger the pan the lower the temp achieved by wattage is for example my 10" cast iron is about 50f lower temp then my 6" cast iron pan at the same wattage.I don't care about timers and the lock function so didn't try them. Removing the pan gives E1 within 5 sec and put the pan back clears the error and continues. I got a surface over-temp error E7 once while in wattage mode with my 10" cast iron seeing how settings above 900 do. Had to let the whole unit cool before it would work again. At the over temp error the pan was just about 360f. It has separate fans left and right which seem relatively smart regarding turning on when the burner is hot. They will stay on after you turn the power off until the temp drops. The fans consume about 4 additional watts above the 2 watt standby power draw.Seems like a decent unit in general for the price has some quirks but once I get used to them it should be fine. Will be interesting to see how it holds up over time. Attached is a photo of the insides while disabling the leds and beepers. The process was very easy to do once I got the single odd headed security screw out it only took a couple minutes to yank out the leds and buzzers with a plier.

Started OK then died
The left burner burned out after 3 months use. The cooktop does not like small pans and will revert to an error code. This makes it difficult to cook meals for less than four.

Worth it!!!
I have had this for about three months. It works great and have not had any issues with it. Of course I just had to buy the special pots, a 12 piece was about $100. I jad it on for longer than 5 hours and it did not over heat. If left on and does not detect a pot or pan on it it turns off. It heats up really fast. I do not have to wait long for it to heat. I cook on it everyday and about 2-- 3 times a day.
