Life Saver
I upgraded my camera and it didn't have a built in flash. Being a natural light photographer i was all about it. However, i was asked to shoot an indoor wedding so i broke down and bought this flash as a last minute scramble. It didn't disappoint!! It was a life saver. It never failed and the adjustable power and aim was perfect!! I have already recommended it to my back up photographer.

Small, compact and POWERFUL!!
Brilliant flash unit once youโve set it up. Small, lightweight, study and very powerful for itโs small size. The downside is that on manual mode the refresh rate on full power is ridiculously slow, like 9 seconds!!! TTL is the way to go with this one instead. And it munches through batteries like crazy. I had a 3 hour shoot at a 50th birthday party and I used up eight AAs!! Get rechargeable batteries. Brilliant little flash though for the price.

awesome flash, great price, excellent quality
I have used a number of Altura flashes over the past few years and they function well with my Canon cameras. The controls and functions are easy to use and the results are fantastic. I haven't yet pushed the triggers to their limits but so far i am very pleased with these flash units.

Just ok
Its good and convenient but I gave it 3 stars because it drains the battery so fast. Unless you have rechargeable batteries its good otherwise you'll be buys batteries like crazy.

5 STARS FOR GREAT CUSTOMER SUPPORT!
I purchased this flash in November of 2023 and it worked fine. I had not used it for quite some time and when I started it up, I received an error code "E9" and the flash would not start up. The manual stated that the error had something to do with Firmware. I did my due diligence to try to find the solution, when I couldn't, I filled out the customer support form on the Altura website explaining the issue. Within a day receive a response from Jacqueline C. with troubleshooting tips to try. When those did not work, I responded as such, Altura is replacing the flash. Furthermore, I responded to Jacqueline asking what could have been the cause the issue, just so I had an idea, she responded with a great explanation as to what the causes could be. I was not expecting that!

Flash is good... Independent use. Trigger ain't pair with flash at all with all settings in order!

first one to work
I have purchased and returned several different brands of this kind of remote flash trigger. None fired the flash remotely as they were supposed to. This one did! All I care about it getting it to work and this one worked on the first attempt so I am happy

One of the few flash units that work with the Canon RP camera.
The flash and the trigger work well on the Canon RP camera. So many flash units that work with newer eos model Canon cameras do not work with the eos RP modelโฆ this unit does work with the RP. The trigger will also fire most other flash units , off camera, when set to the same channel, etc.. Nce compact flash.
