This 16 oz glue dispenser works exactly as I expected. It's much easier to control than the original wood glue bottle, and the tip lays down a nice consistent bead without making a mess. this is my second dispenser. first one started leaking on cap seal after a year of heavy use. but it is really the best i have seen for high volume applications and economy refilling.

I had purchased the dispenser way back and just never filled it with glue. Silly me, I was still reusing the 16 oz glue bottles I had and refilling them from my gallon jug. Boy was I wasting my time. This dispenser saves me time and glue. Simple to use, as soon as you pick it up the glue is ready to dispense, no shaking down a bottle when its near the end to get the glue to come out. Also its precise. You control very easily how much glue comes out. There is a tip cover i use but that eventually broken off and i lost the cover..The flat head end allows you to evenly lay out the glue. Also came with a second pointed fine tip for less flow. The flat tip eventually cracked to where i can't use it efficiently.. I have moved on to the pointed tip which i actually like better.. I love it and wish I had purchased it years ago. Without the red cover glue cakes up on tip and with trying to remove the dry glue the plastic tip will crack. I also wish it came with extra tips and red tip cover. But this is a woodworkers tool to have in any workshop.

I usually like to have something for a while before I review it. I have only had this glue bottle a relatively short time, but it is great. The cap comes off easily, but still keeps the glue from setting up in the nozzle. The cap on my previous glue bottle was very hard to open, and was often clogged with glue the next time I used it. The squeeze bulb lets you put just the amount of glue you want on your work. The lid is large making refilling much easier than with glue bottles with the spout built into the cap. I don't know how long it will last, but at this price, and the absence of aggravation, I am not real concerned about it. Update: I have now had this glue bottle slightly less than a year (actually about 10 months), and I find that I should have stuck to my policy of not reviewing products until I have had them for a while. I was too quick to give this bottle 5 stars, and now must reduce it to 3 stars. The idea is great, but the implementation of that idea is not so great. Shortly after I reviewed this item, I found that if the tip was cut to the smallest opening, it soon clogged with glue, so I cut it to the second smallest opening. This seemed to work and I accepted it as a minor deficiency. I now find that the glue in the bottle is partially set, and will not come out. Some investigation revealed that the seal in the lid was not properly seated. This must have happened the last time I filled it. Further inspection revealed that the seal consists of two washers, one which looks like cardboard, and the other which is apparently a rubber like material. Both are very thin, and it is not surprising they did not remain seated. If I every get the glue out of the bottle, I will have to carefully check the lid seal every time I fill it. I had initially not been too concerned about durability of this product since I considered it to be relatively inexpensive. However, I did expect it to last more than a year. Now I see that the price is up nearly 30% over what I paid for it, so durability is more of an issue. I apologize to anyone who purchased this item based upon my previous premature review.
