What exactly is this product, is it test strips?

And if readings fall within the ranges indicated on stick label on the meter box and/or strip box for each level of control solution, that means that your meter and strips are working fine. Do you need to use a new needle for every test?

Speaking only for myself, I only change needles in my meters, both ketone and glucose. when they begin to sting when I use them. That indicates to me that they have dulled somewhat. I do frequently clean them with alcohol swabs.

Is this solution necessary? Why wouldn't my Ketosans device be innacurate?

Hello, The KetoSens Control Solution is not necessary to calibrate the meter but is recommended to check if your meter/strips are working properly. When using the control solution, please make sure that your meter is in control solution testing mode and that the control solution range is referenced from your strip box. Thank you!
