a treat w a taste that’s unforgettable
halavah is an acquired taste. i had it on thanksgiving , my 21 granddaughter text me that she was craving it. she only had a little when she was here during the holiday. i had quite a few treats here n how she described it n what color pkg it was n the sesame taste made me laugh n i immediately purchased it for her. who pays this price for a treat for my grandaughter, i do !!!

A long-time favorite, available once again
I first bought Joyva halvah back in the late 1960s as individual snack size bars. Around 1972 I first saw these larger, chocolate-covered bars. The taste is different than marble halvah, which has cocoa or chocolate blended into plain halvah. For years I hadn't been able to find these 8 oz packages, so am glad they are available once again. The flavor is very good, and fresh. Only downside is that I miss the old, more colorful packaging/wrappers and wish the company would go back to them.

Melted Mess—Wait for Cool Weather to Order
My fault I didn't read the reviews--it never occurred to me a product I remembered so well would arrive in such poor condition. It came in its wrapper, then in a bubble pouch. When I opened the wrapper, I found the chocolate melted down the inside, outside and bottom of the plastic-pan container. I tried spreading the chocolate back on top with a knife then refrigerating it, however it was still a mess and not very tasty after refrigeration. Disappointed.

I grew up on this stuff I lived in Brooklyn with my grandfather in a Jewish section known as sunset Park. All the Jewish kids ate this stuff and I didn't know why but once I tried it with crushed sesame seed and chocolate covering it is to die for. I could eat this stuff everyday probably gain about 5,000 lb but I wouldn't care because it makes me so damn happy. Highly recommend whether you're Jewish or not. Get some now!

The Best Halvah on Earth!
Ever since I was a child I have enjoyed Joyva Halvah. So creamy so yummy especially covered in delicious chocolate. I can recommend this and I will buy it again.
