Do they operate on different freq?** A: The correct reply is Yes, the display and the Sensor are "paired" like Blue Tooth devices. BUT, now for the bad news. Each time you replace the battery in ANY part of the system you need to perform the operation of "pairing" over again!!!Steps:1) Take all three parts, Display and both sensors and go away from the "other" sensors.2) Put fresh a battery in the Display and watch for NO Updates, takes a few moments to verify.3) Put a battery in each the sensors and watch for the "First" update to be correct.4) Leave these batteries in and walk back to the location needed.Now the new set will have a unique code and not read the "other" sensors values.The code is 32,000 values so yoiu can have MANY of these in the same place.NOTE: if you want a "copy" to be seen by Two Displays just PAIR both at the same place and time. They "Learn" from the first data point. **Q: What kind of recording capabilities does it have? I need to know how warm freezer became to avoid refreezing, when I am elsewhere.** A: it just lets you set an alarm to what ever temp you want to know I don't see a recording of it if I come by later. the best thing on the freezer is a glass of ice cubes in the freezer, it they ever turn to a block your freezer went hot for too long. that's the best and cheapest way I know. **Q: When fridge/freezer goes out of temp setting does alarm keep sounding until acknowledged ?** A: When the alarm goes off, it gets annoying after awhile, so we have pressed the alarm button within 5 minutes to turn it off. I'm pretty sure it will sound until the temperature has returned within the set range or is turned off. Just be sure to press the alarm button again when the temperature is within the range you set, to reactivate the alarm mode. **Q: What is the wireless range on this item?** A: I have mine set about 40 and 50 ft from receiver, both of which are transmitting through one exterior wall and 1 or 2 interior framed walls, with the receiver near mid point, and no problems after a couple of months. As others stated, the update is not immediate, so give it a while for the initial reading. Also, if you move the sensors, I found it helpful to take the batteries out of everything and start again - only takes a couple of minutes and gives some peace of mind.
