Is the loudness due to the water or due to the pump ? I don't mind water making noise but a loud pump wouldn't be a nice sound . Thanks !

we had this issue for 2 days, until we open it again and just moved pump farther form metal frame as pump was messing with a metal wall and sound was just to much and ....vuala ! Just the sound of the water now.

Evaporates distilled water so quickly it is almost not worth the trouble. What will happen if I use tap water?

I am sorry, I don’t have an answer to your question. I have never used tap water for fear it might create calcium deposits. I only used distilled water.
