Carroten Intensive Tanning Gel, Browning Tan Accelerator, 5 oz + Spatula

I can definitely see why this tanning gel is so popular! It goes on smoothly, gives my skin a beautiful glow, and helped me tan much faster than I normally do. My skin felt soft and moisturized instead of dry after being in the sun. The tropical scent is amazing, and a little goes a long way. I also love that it comes with an applicator, which makes it much less messy to use. Just remember that this is a tanning accelerator, not a sunscreen, so be sure to pair it with SPF if you need sun protection. Overall, I’m really happy with this purchase and will definitely buy it again!

Amazing tanning gel! Gives an immediate, bright bronzed-look while still actively working on your tan. Thick consistency, but goes on smooth, coats evenly, and feels moisturizing without feeling greasy. Definitely need to be consistent with its use, and note it WILL transfer to white/light clothing, however comes out easily in the wash. The amount in the container was impressive, and lasted me four months before I ran out. Point of reference, I live in FL and lay out in the son roughly 2x per week. I only used on my face, stomach, and legs. Works far better than other products I’ve tried and used, and I will absolutely be a forever-customer!

I actually really like this tanning gel, and it gives me a noticeably deeper tan in a relatively short amount of time. It definitely seems to accelerate the tanning process, and I appreciate that it's water-resistant because I don't feel like I have to constantly reapply after getting in the pool. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is the consistency. It's much thicker than I expected—almost like petroleum jelly. Because of that, it can be a little difficult to spread evenly, and it leaves your skin feeling greasy for a while after application. That said, if you don't mind the texture, the results are worth it. It gives a beautiful, rich tan and seems to help intensify color much faster than tanning without it. I would purchase it again, but I do wish the formula was a little lighter and easier to apply, AND the price wasn't so insanely expensive compared to others, AND one more note, I do wish it had at least a little sunscreen in there to protect your skin

I know it works because I just spent a week in Hawaii, and I didn’t use it the first several days because I was afraid of burning. I was trying to build up a base tan first before using this stuff. I ended up using it only on my last two days at the beach. Today... we only got an hour of beach time because we were flying back to SF in the afternoon. So in the morning, before heading out to the beach, I put a light coat (seriously a light coat) of this stuff all over my body... EXCEPT MY FACE. I left my face bare. We spent one hour at the beach, swam in the ocean for about 30 minutes, and my body tanned DARK (even burned a little even though I had a base tan)... but my face barely got any color at all! It’s evening now and I am back from Hawaii... and looking in the mirror it’s very clear that my face is sooo much paler than the rest of my body! I didn’t use any sunscreen, so it’s got to be this tanning lotion that made such a difference. And that’s AFTER SWIMMING and no reapplying! You seriously do not need to reapply this stuff after swimming. It stays on your skin even in water. I love the scent of this lotion, as well. It’s not a fresh scent through... instead it’s a nutty carrot and coconut scent. unusual, however definitely beachy scent. You’ll see what I mean once you get a tub yourself. Not too strong. And the scent doesn’t last. I love the way it smells, personally, and I wouldn’t mind if it lasted a lot longer, in fact. The scent blends great with my beachy summer fragrances. I was skeptical. Now I know this stuff is serious business. If you do not have a base tan, I would use extreme caution with this stuff. Definitely use sunscreen under it, if your skin is not already tan. Or just forget using this until your skin is truly ready for it. Word to the wise. A few other comments: you do not need to use a lot of this, so don’t. You will only waste the product if you use a lot. I’ve made a dent in mine but I’ve still got plenty left to use... over half the bottle. Staining: you do need to be careful with this stuff near your swimsuit if it’s a light colored suit. That’s a bummer, but the staining is not horrendous or highly visible (especially if you are careful and don’t slather this stuff on like frosting a cake...you don’t need a lot anyway). I have not yet washed my bikinis to see if it comes out in the wash. But I’ll let you know if the slight staining comes out once I wash my swim suits. It’s only a slight discoloration near the seams. ————————————————————— A couple years later and I no longer feel excited about this. Whatever waxy chemical that is used in this stuff dries my skin out (over several uses, in an accumulative fashion) and it also behaves strangely on my skin. It does get me very dark very quickly, but I find myself wondering… at what cost? I am actually not normally too concerned about ingredients in skin lotions (I am, but I don’t freak out over occasional mineral oil on my body, or a bit of cones here and there) however the way this stuff behaves does give me pause.

I bought this because the majority of the reviews were positive so I wanted to try it. I have a cruise coming up so I wanted to have a nice glow before embarkation day. I stayed out 15 minutes each side, given the advise from other people. And the photos are prior to using the product, immediately afterwards, and about 4 hours after tanning. You can see somewhat of a deepening but nothing compared to what some of these other reviews suggest. Pros: -There’s no smell of any kind -It does aid in tanning a bit Cons: -Another reviewer described the consistency to that of caramel. That is perfectly accurate. It’s thick and globby and doesn’t spread the best. -It’s VERY greasy, like don’t touch anything, don’t sit on anything because it will get everywhere. To be honest, I felt gross. -It is tinted and as a result it stained my bathing suit and towel. -It was difficult to wash off. I still felt greasy after scrubbing repeatedly. All in all, I would not recommend this product. Given the cost of the product versus the payoff, it’s just not worth it.

Was skeptical about this tanning gel.I was surprised how great it works.I put on spf 30 wait 15 minutes then apply the carroten.Doesnt have a pleasant sent.Smells a bit chemically but that goes away within 5 mins then no smell.I would buy it again.

This Carroten Tanning Accelerator is absolutely amazing! It’s smells light and fresh. Goes on smooth like melted butter! As soon as you put it on you have an instant natural looking bronzed glow. I notice I tan better when I use this! I get a deeper darker tan- especially in areas that usually don’t tan very well- like my legs. This gel makes my skin feel soft and silky- it’s not thick or super greasy. ***Tip- Definitely put your sunscreen on first (as is says in the directions)- this has no sunscreen in it and it’s an Intensifier/accelerator- You don’t want to get yourself fried! That’s not the way to get a tan. Slow and consistent is the way to go! :) If you have sensitive skin, don’t tan easily, etc., I wouldn’t recommend. ***Another Tip: Be careful getting it on your clothes- it does stain- but the stains do come out in the wash. 10/10!!!!!!

Ich bin mit dem Carroten Intensive Tanning Gel sehr zufrieden. Es lässt sich leicht auftragen, zieht schnell ein und fühlt sich angenehm auf der Haut an. Besonders gut gefällt mir, dass die Haut nach dem Auftragen schön gepflegt und gleichmäßig aussieht. Der Duft ist auch angenehm. Insgesamt finde ich das Produkt super und würde es auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

This works, bottom line! It genuinely helps you achieve a better and deeper tan. I like the formula, which resembles a sticky, oily balm. A small amount goes a long way, stays on even after swimming, and has a pleasant burnished red-brown color. As an added advantage, it moisturizes the skin effectively, which is crucial for maintaining a tan. The smell is neither unpleasant nor particularly pleasant. However, it does contain several known pore cloggers, which resulted in a few pimples on my shoulder, an unusual occurrence for me. Therefore, I be mindful if you plan on applying it to your face.
